장애인 평생교육에 대한 장애인복지관 종사자의 인식유형

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 장애인복지관 종사자들이 지각하는 장애인 평생교육에 대한 인식의 유형과 유형별 특성을 Q-방법으로 분석하였다. 먼저 장애인복지관 종사자들을 대상으로 개방형 질문지를 실시하여 장애인 평생교육에 대한 진술문을 확보하여 Q-모집단을 구성하였으며, 이후 전문가 3인의 검토를 거쳐 40개의 Q-표본을 선정하였다. 다음으로 장애인복지관 종사자 49명을 대상으로 Q-표본의 분포도를 작성하도록 하였으며, QUANL 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 장애인복지관 종사자들의 장애인 평생교육에 대한 인식유형은 총 3가지로 나타났다. 첫째, 제 1유형은 장애인들의 참여의지를 강조하고, 장애유형, 생애주기와 같은 개별적 특성을 우선시하는 것으로 나타나 '참여동기 중시-개별성 추구형'으로 명명하였다. 둘째, 제 2유형은 장애인 평생교육을 위한 환경적 여건들과 비장애인과의 통합을 중시하고 있으므로 '환경적 기반 구축-통합지향형'으로 이름 붙였다. 셋째, 제 3유형은 장애인 평생교육을 통해 나타나는 장애인의 개인적인 성장에 주목하고, 사회적 효과에는 양가적인 입장을 보여 '개인성장 지지-사회적 효과 유보형'으로 명명하였다. 이같은 결과는 장애인 평생교육의 실천적 함의를 제공하며, 장애인 평생교육의 인력, 운영과 관리, 환경적 기반 구축과 활성화를 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the types of perception of workers in rehabilitation center for people with disabilities about lifelong education for people with disabilities and the characteristics of each type using the Q-methodology. First, an open-ended survey with workers in rehabilitation center for people with disabilities was conducted to get their answers about lifelong education for people with disabilities and organize a Q-population. After that, 40 Q-samples were chosen, based on the review of 3 experts. Next, 49 workers in rehabilitation center for people with disabilities were asked to draw up the distribution maps of Q-samples, and they were analyzed using the QUANL program. According to the study results, there were total 3 types of perception of workers in rehabilitation center for people with disabilities about lifelong education for people with disabilities. First, the 1st type was to emphasize disabled people's will of participation and give priority to individual characteristics, such as the types of disability and life cycle, so it was named a 'participation motivation emphasis-individuality-oriented type'. Second, the 2nd type was to emphasize integration of environmental conditions for lifelong education for people with disabilities and people without disabilities, so it was named a 'environmental foundation construction-integration-oriented type'. Third, the 3rd type was to focus on individual growth of people with disabilities through lifelong education for people with disabilities and be ambivalent about social effects, so it was named a 'individual growth support-social effect-reserved type'. These findings provide practical implications for lifelong education for people with disabilities and can be used as basic data to build an environmental foundation for manpower, operation and management of lifelong education for people with disabilities and invigorate this.
