송강 시가에서 자의식의 비유적 형상화와 여성 화자의 의미

국문 초록

최근 활발히 이루어지고 있는 화자 논의의 성과를 토대로, 본고에서는 송강 시가의 화자 문제를 자의식의 표출이라는 각도에서 접근하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 송강 시가에서 자의식이 표출되는 양상을 주목하고, 특히 여성 화자의 설정과 특징이 어떤 의미를 가지는지를 논의하였다. 송강 시가에서 자의식은 '취선/적선' '광생/선녀' 등과 같이 비유적인 대상으로 형상화될 때 그 특징이 부각되며, 이러한 비유적 대상들은 각기 자긍심과 자괴감의 효과적인 형상화에 기여하고 있었다. 앞서 살핀 바와 같이 송강 시가에서 자의식의 표출은 다양하게 시도되고 있으며, 몇 가지 공통점과 차이점을 동시에 지니고 있었다. 곧 적강 모티프를 취하고 있음에도 '적선'과 '선녀' 사이에는 차이가 존재하여 각기 자긍심과 자괴감을 비유적으로 표출하는 데 일조하고 있었으며, 자괴적 형상화의 공통성에도 불구하고 '광생'과 '선녀' 사이 역시 차이가 존재하여 남성 작가의 화자 설정이 同性 혹은 異性으로 드러나고 있었다. 이는 자의식 표출에 있어 상황과 성별의 차이 등이 보다 섬세하게 비교 고찰될 필요성을 제기하는 부분이기도 하다. 이 때 항목간에 대비되는 특징들은 여성 화자의 설정과 의미라는 측면에서 볼 때 적강 모티프의 차별적 활용, 당면한 현실의 문제를 술이 아닌 말로 풀어가는 해결 방식의 지향성, 정결한 여성상을 강조하는 작가의 현실적 여성 인식 등이 바탕에 깔려 있음을 지적하였다. 이 글에서는 여성 화자의 의미를 살피는데 직접적으로 연맥할 수 있는 고리를 주목하여 일부의 작품만을 대상으로 하였지만 논의에서 이끌어진 결과는 송강 시가의 자의식 고찰에 대한 작은 실마리로 작용할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Based on the fruit of recent active discussions on the speaker, I've approached the topic of speaker in the poems of 'Song Kang' to the view of expression of self-consciousness. For this, I focus on aspects of the expressions of self-consciousness and especially the meaning of setting up and feature of female speaker. Self-conscious in his poem is embossed in the shape of metaphor like 'drunken/apostate deity' 'insane person/fairy'. And these metaphorical objects contribute to effective figuration of pride and shame. As we reviewed above, the exposure of self-consciousness is tried diversly and shows several commonness and differences as well. There are differences between 'apostate deity' and 'fairy' and those differences help to express pride and shame. There also are differences between 'insane person' and 'fairy' in spite of commonness of figuration of shame, and therefore making a speaker by a male writer appears as a same or different gender. This is the part which raise the needs of profound comparison and review on differences of situation and gender in exposure of self-consciousness. The features compared to each item, in the aspects on appearance and meaning of female speaker, are based on distinctive application of exile motif from heaven to earth, aiming for way of solving practical matters not by liquor but by narration and his viewpoint on women emphasizing purity. In this thesis, I've chosen a few of his works by focusing on the clues which directly approach to reviewing the meaning of female speaker. But the results derived from debates will be a small step forward to review on self-consciousness of his poems.
