국문 초록

본 연구는 개인중심계획(person-centered planning)을 활용한 진로교육 프로그램이 중학교 특수학급 지적장애 중학생의 진로태도, 성취동기, 및 교육계획 자기효능감과 성과기대에 미친 효과를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 20명의 지적장애 중학생이 참여한 본 연구는 종속변인에 따라 사전사후 통제집단 설계(진로태도, 성취동기)와 사전사후 단일집단 설계(교육계획 자기효능감과 성과기대)를 사용하였다. 각 10명씩 실험집단과 통제집단으로 배치하였고, 실험집단의 학생들에게는 총20회기 개인중심계획을 활용한 진로교육 프로그램이 제공되었다. 개인중심계획 접근적 진로교육 수업은 진로발달의 중학생 시기에 적절한 내용(예: 자기이해), 개인중심계획 회의에 참여하는 데 요구되는 내용(예: 희망 진로목표 설정)과 기술(예: 자기소개하기)을 중심으로 구성되었다. 개별 학생의 개인중심계획 회의에는 학생본인, 부모, 담임교사와 특수교사가 팀원으로, 연구자 1인이 촉진자로 참여하였다. 일반 중학교에서 연령에 적절한 진로교육을 개인중심계획을 활용한 형태로 개발하여 제공한 결과, 연구참여 지적장애 중학생의 진로태도, 성취동기 및 교육계획 자기효능감과 성과기대가 모두 유의하게 향상되었다. 본 연구는 개인중심계획을 활용한 진로교육 프로그램을 지적장애 중학생을 대상으로 국내에서 처음으로 개발하여 실행하고 긍정적 결과를 보고하는 첫 연구로서 의의와 후속연구를 위한 제언과 '개인중심계획 접근'을 지적장애 학생의 진로교육에 보다 활발하게 적용하기 위한 제언과 본 연구의 제한성을 지적하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of career education program with person-centered planning on career attitude, achievement motivation, and self-efficacy/outcome expectancy for the educational planning of middle school students with intellectual disabilities. The participants in the study were 20 students with intellectual disabilities who were enrolled in special classes in three public middle schools in Kyounggii-do. The program was implemented a total of 20 sessions during the spring semester of 2012 at two schools. The sessions consisted of 16 career education classes, 2 parent counseling sessions, and 2 person-centered planning meetings for each student in the experimental group. The results of this study were as follow: (1) the experimental group that participated in the career education program with the person-centered planning displayed significantly higher scores of career attitude and achievement motivation than those of the control group; and (2) there were statistically significant differences in the scores of self-efficacy and outcome expectancy for the educational planning of experimental group students between the pre-test and post-test. This is the first experimental study reporting the positive effects of career education programs with person-centered planning on the students with intellectual disabilities enrolled in general middle schools in Korea.
