국문 초록

본 연구는 자발적으로 구성된 수업비평 공동체의 사례를 통하여 수업비평 공동체 활동의 실제와 수업비평에 대한 인식, 교사에게 있어 수업비평 공동체 참여의 의미를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 수업비평을 실천하고 있는 3개의 수업비평 공동체들을 찾아 질적 사례 연구를 수행하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 수업비평 공동체의 공통적인 활동 양상은 수업동영상의 공유, 전사록 작성과 공동체 토론을 통한 수업 분석, 수업에 대한 글쓰기 및 나누기로 이루어지고 있었다. 둘째, 수업비평에 대한 인식은 주체적인 수업 개선을 위한 연구 방법, 비판적 감수성을 통한 토론과 글쓰기, 수업에 대한 이야기로 시작하는 교육 개혁 등 공동체의 정체성에 따라 차이를 나타냈다. 셋째, 교사에게 있어 수업비평 공동체 활동의 의미는 수업을 보는 안목의 변화 체험과 공유와 협력을 통한 성장임을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 연구의 사례와 결과는 현장 교사들에게 수업비평을 활용한 수업 전문성 신장에 실질적인 도움이 되며, 교사학습공동체 활동에 참여를 유도하여 수업비평의 확산에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

This study aims to explore the understanding of class critique activities, a preception of class critique, and the meaning of experiencing participation in class critique communities. To understand the value of class critique, this research selected a qualitative case study which examined three different class critique communities that were voluntarily organized. According to this research, a common feature of class critique within these three communities included sharing class videos, analyzing transcribed data in class videos and the content of discussions, writing about classroom teaching, and sharing writing with one another. In terms of the preception of class critique, there were some differences based upon the identity of each class critique community, such as research methods for improving the quality of teaching, discussion and writing style through critical sensitivity to the various issues, and education reform which started with stories about a class. For teachers who participated in class critique communities, an activity of class critiques could provide transformative experiences of teaching and learning and foster professional growth through sharing and collaboration with other teachers. Such results of this case study can provide practical help to enhance a teacher's professional development by utilizing class critique and influence the value of class critique by encouraging teachers to participate in the activity of professional learning communities.
