국문 초록

지금까지 신석기시대에서 청동기시대로의 전환기의 연구는 있었지만, 자료가 부족하여 구체적이지 못했다. 필자는 각목돌대문토기 편년과 계보를 통하여 연구하고자 한다. Ⅰ기는 신석기 말기 토기와 공반된다. Ⅱ기의 각목돌대문토기는 형식상으로 계열분화기이고, 순수 각목돌대문토기기이다. Ⅲ기는 토기 형식상 이중구연화되는 특징이 보이고, 다른 무문토기들과 공반된다. 이 토기의 상한은 자연환경을 고려한 계보의 출현배경과 관련이 있는데, 중국동북지방의 기온하강과 흥성유적의 C14연대를 참고로 하여 기원전 14-13세기 정도로 보고자 한다. 계보는 북위 40°선 이상의 중국 길림-두만강 지역의 잡곡농경문화를 가진 주민이 기온 하강으로 인하여 더 나은 환경을 찾아 남하하여 한반도 남부와 중서부지역에 정착하고 그들의 문화형태로 나타났다. 이들은 남부지방과 중부지방 강가 충적지에 자리잡고 각각의 문화를 꽃피웠다가 중부지방은 가락동식토기문화와 남부지방은 흔암리식 토기문화와 각각 밀접한 관련을 가지면서 하한을 맞은 것 같다. 중부지방의 하한은 11세기 정도로 보고, 하한의 편년은 앞으로 더 신중을 기해야 한다고 생각한다.

영문 초록

Due to the lack of data, understanding the transition from Neolithic to Bronze Ages has been uncertain. This paper deals with this topic by way of chronological as well genealogical aspects of so called 'Gakmok Doldae Mun' pottery'(GDM pottery) - a type of pottery with encircling protuberance around rim or neck. In periodical terms, the development of GDM pottery can be divided into 3 phases. In Phase Ⅰ it coexisted with final neolithic type potteries, In phase Ⅱ it diverged into branches, and finally in Phase Ⅲ it's rim type changed into the folded one and became coexisted with ordinary Mumun potteries. The upper limit of the GDM pottery can be proposed as early as 14-3th centuries B.C. considering the C14 data from the Hung-Sung site as well as overall temperature lowering in northeast China. With lowering temperature, grain cultivating people in Chinese region higher than 40° N.L. moved down, having settled mainly in midwestern and southern regions of Korea adjusting it's cultural pattern. Branches of GDM pottery bearing cultural tradition seems to have been merged into the Garakdong Culture in midwestern region and the Hunamni Culture in southern region respectively. The time of such merging can be estimated around 11th century B.C. in midwestern region, but some later in southern region.
