국문 초록

본 연구는 자폐아동을 비롯한 장애아동들이 일상적으로 접하게 되는 다양한 사회적 상황에서 적절히 기능하는 것을 지원하고, 통합된 상황 속에서 바람직한 사회적 행동을 촉진할 수 있는 상황이야기를 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여 먼저 일반학교에 통합된 장애아동들이 많은 어려움을 경험하는 다양한 상황에 대한 정보를 수집하고 분석하였다. 이와 같은 기초 자료 수집 과정을 통하여 개발된 상황이야기는 제 3부로 구성되었다. 제 1부는 긍정적인 사회적 행동에 관련한 내용으로 ‘교실에서는 이렇게 생활 합니다’와 ‘교실 외에서는 이렇게 생활 합니다’의 두개의 하위 영역으로 구분하여 모두 62개의 이야기를 포함하였으며, 제 2부는 친사회적 행동에 관련한 내용들로 하위 영역은 ‘친구들과는 이렇게 지내요’와 ‘언제나 즐겁게 지내요’의 두개 영역에 모두 53개의 이야기가 개발되었다. 제 3부는 문제 행동에 관련된 내용들로 ‘교실에서는 이런 행동을 하지 않아요’와 ‘교실 밖에서는 이런 행동을 하지 않아요’의 두개 하위 영역에 모두 32개의 이야기 자료들을 개발하였다. 본 고에서는 개발된 이야기와 더불어 상황이야기의 개발과정과 사용방법을 체계적으로 제시함으로써 통합된 일반학급 상황 속에서 필요한 바람직한 사회적 행동 및 친사회적 행동을 촉진하고 문제 행동의 감소를 위하여 적절히 사용될 수 있도록 하였다. 마지막으로 연구 결과에 근거한 논의와 제언을 통하여 추후 연구 방향을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is developing social stories that be used for children with disabilities to do functions properly in various social situations and promote desirable social behaviors. Social stories are often written to help an individuals adjust to changes(i. e. in routines), to provide insight about what others are thinking or feeling, or to teach specific social skills as alternatives to problem behaviors. So, social stories have been used as a positive support intervention to foster appropriate social skills and pro-social behavior, while reduce and prevent some of the problem behaviors for children with disabilities. A social story is a short story that keeps to a specific format and guidelines to objectively describe a person, skill, event, concept, or social situation. Usually social stories are written by parents, professionals or teachers. In the developmental process of social stories, we followed Gray’s guidelines：(a)determining a topic; (b)gathering information regarding the children with disabilities in inclusive situation. For these (a) and (b) steps, various informations were collected and analyzed from general and special teachers and normal peers in inclusive settings. (c)Based on these practical data, we developed three parts of social stories. Part 1 includes 62 stories about positive social behaviors. Part 2 contains 53 stories about pro-social behaviors. Part 3 comprise 32 social stories about problem behaviors. In this paper, we describe the developmental process of our social stories, which is helpful for children with disabilities, normal peers, general teachers and special teachers in inclusive settings to apply these social stories in their practical use. Also, we considered the type of sentence：descriptive, perspective, directive and control sentences, and children’s interests and practical and functional use. Finally, we discuss the results of this study and propose the direction of our further research.
