교직윤리에 관한 국내 연구동향

국문 초록

본 연구는 국내의 교직윤리에 관한 연구를 고찰함으로써 현재까지 이루어진 연구의 경향을 파악하고, 후속 연구의 방향에 대한 시사점을 제공하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2002년부터 2025년 8월까지 출판된 교직윤리에 대한 국내 학술지 및 학위논문 총 167편을 수집하여 연도별 개념, 연구대상, 연구방법, 연구주제를 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교직윤리 개념은 도덕성과 행위규범 중심의 개인적 윤리에서 출발하여, 전문직의 책무와 사회적 책임을 포함하는 맥락 확장형 윤리로 진화하였다. 둘째, 연구대상은 영‧유아 및 예비 영‧유아 교사 중심의 경향이 두드러졌다. 셋째, 연구방법은 양적 연구가 가장 높은 비중을 차지하였으며, 질적·혼합 연구는 제한적이었다. 넷째, 연구주제는 교사의 인성·도덕성·윤리의식 등 개인 요인에 집중되어 있었으며, 관계적 윤리와 조직사회적 윤리 연구는 상대적으로 미흡하였다. 다만, 2021년 이후 AI 윤리, 디지털 전환, 사회적 책임 등 시대적 주제를 반영한 연구가 증가하면서 교직윤리 담론이 사회·기술적 맥락으로 확장되는 양상을 보였다. 이를 바탕으로 논의와 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to examine research trends on teachers’ professional ethics in Korea and to provide implications for future studies. A total of 167 domestic journal articles and dissertations published between 2002 and August 2025 were collected and analyzed in terms of their conceptual focus, research participants, methodologies, and thematic categories. The main findings are as follows. First, the concept of teachers’ professional ethics has evolved from a morality- and conduct-based “individual ethics” toward a “context-extended ethics” that encompasses professional accountability and social responsibility. Second, research participants were predominantly early childhood and pre-service early childhood teachers, indicating a strong focus on the formative stage of professional ethics development. Third, quantitative studies accounted for the majority of research, while qualitative and mixed-method approaches remained limited. Fourth, most studies concentrated on individual factors such as teachers’ morality, personality, and ethical awareness, whereas research on relational and organizational–social ethics was relatively insufficient. However, since 2021, an increasing number of studies have addressed emerging topics such as AI ethics, digital transformation, and social responsibility, reflecting the expansion of teachers’ professional ethics into broader social and technological contexts. Based on these findings, discussions and suggestions for future research directions are presented.
