청소년기 괴롭힘 피해경험과 대학생의 심리적 안녕감의 관계: 경험회피와 사회적 고립감의 순차매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 청소년기 괴롭힘 피해경험과 대학생 시기 심리적 안녕감의 관계에서 경험회피와 사회적 고립감의 순차 매개효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 4년제 대학생(만 19세~28세) 231명을 대상으로 청소년기 괴롭힘 피해경험, 경험회피, 사회적 고립감, 심리적 안녕감 척도로 구성된 설문을 온라인으로 실시하였다. Process macro model 6를 활용하여 분석한 결과, 청소년기 괴롭힘 피해경험과 대학생의 심리적 안녕감의 관계에서 경험회피와 사회적 고립감 각각의 단순매개효과를 확인하였다. 즉, 청소년기 괴롭힘 피해경험은 경험회피 혹은 사회적 고립감을 증가시켜 대학생 시기 심리적 안녕감을 낮추었다. 청소년기 괴롭힘 피해경험과 대학생 시기 심리적 안녕감의 관계에서 경험회피와 사회적 고립감의 순차매개효과 역시 유의하여, 청소년기 괴롭힘 피해경험이 증가된 경험회피를 통해 사회적 고립감과 연결되고, 그로 인해 심리적 안녕감이 감소됨을 확인하였다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 청소년기 괴롭힘 피해경험을 지닌 대학생의 심리적 안녕감 증진을 위하여 경험회피와 사회적 고립감에 초점을 둔 상담적 개입의 중요성을 강조하였다.

영문 초록

This study examined the sequential mediation effects of experiential avoidance and social isolation in the relationship between adolescent peer victimization and psychological well-being in university students. A survey was conducted online with 231 undergraduate students (ages 19-28), using scales that measured peer victimization, experiential avoidance, social isolation, and psychological well-being. Analysis using Process macro model 6 showed that both experiential avoidance and social isolation individually mediated the relationship. That is, peer victimization during adolescent increased either experiential avoidance or social isolation, which in turn reduced psychological well-being. A sequential mediation model confirmed that peer victimization during adolescent indirectly affected well-being thorugh elevated experiential avoidance and subsequent social isolation. These study suggest that the importance of counseling interventions that focus on experiential avoidance and social isolation to enhance psychological well-being among undergraduate students with a history of adolescent peer victimization.
