유아의 놀이 속 도덕적 체험 의미에 관한 현상학적 연구

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 어린이집 자유놀이 시간에 유아가 체험하는 도덕적 의미를 해석학적 현상 학 연구로 살펴보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 참여자는 연구에 동의한 만 5세 유아 4명이 참여 하였고, IRB 승인을 받았다. 나는 오전 자유놀이 시간에 관찰을 통해 자료를 수집하였고, 수집된 자료는 전사하여 사 례를 중심으로 해석학적 현상학 방법으로 분석하였다. 분석 과정 중 판단중지, 자유 변경, 반성적 사고, 어원, 동화, 문학작품, 현상학 서적, 현상학 철학자의 현상을 활 용하여 해석하였다. 연구결과: 유아 놀이 속 도덕적 체험의 의미는 교사가 있는 경우 타인의 시선에 갇힌 규칙, 놀 이 다툼에서 나타난 얼굴 없는 사과, 타인에 의한 존재로서 정리 시간으로 드러났다. 또한 교사가 없는 경우는 놀이 속에서 만든 규칙은 관계 맺음의 과정, 놀이 속 다툼 은 상호 주체적인 나 찾기 과정, 놀이 속 정리는 존재의 책임 다하기 과정으로 드러 났다. 연구결론: 유아는 놀이 속에서 교사가 인간 대 인간으로 유아의 얼굴을 마주하여 유아의 내면 을 들여다보고, 시선을 접촉하는 과정 속에서 도덕성을 경험하게 된다. 또한 유아 스스로 인간 존재의 의미를 사물과 사람과 관계 속에서 도덕성을 찾으면서 자신의 존재적 가치를 발견할 때 도덕적으로 성장할 수 있다는 점을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the moral meanings experienced by children during free play in a childcare center through a phenomenological exploration. Methods: Participants included four 5-year-olds who consented to the study, and IRB approval was obtained. Data were collected by researcher observation during free play. The data were transcribed and analyzed using a case-based interpretive phenomenological method. During the analysis process, bracketing, free change, reflective thinking, etymology, fairy tales, literature, books on phenomenology, and phenomenological philosophers were used for interpretation. Results: In the presence of a teacher, the meaning of the moral experience in children' play was revealed as rules trapped in the gaze of others, faceless apologies in play arguments, and cleanup time as a presence of others. In the absence of a teacher, rules made in play were revealed as a process of relationship, arguments in play were revealed as a process of inter subjective me-finding, and cleanup time was revealed as a process of fulfilling the responsibility of being. Conclusion: Children experience morality in play when the teacher faces the children's face in a human-to-human relationship, looking into the children's inner world and making eye contact. It also suggests that children can grow morally when they discover their own existential value by finding morality in their relationships with things and people that define the meaning of human existence.
