국문 초록

인구감소에 대하여 여러 대책들이 논의되는 가운데 최근 일본에서는 ‘관계인구’에 주목하고 있다. 이 글에서는 다나카 데루미(田中輝美）의『관계인구의 사회학-인구감소 시대의 지역재생(関係人口の社会学ー関係人口減少時代の地域再生)』을 소개한다. 『관계인구의 사회학-인구감소 시대의 지역재생』은 총 3부로 구성된다. 제1부는 관계인구에 대한 개념정립과 관련된 논의를 정리했다. 시대별로 일본 인구감소의 특징과 유형, 지역재생 정책을 비교 설명했다. 관계인구에 대하여 지역재생의 주체로서 공간, 시간, 태도로 정리했다. 제2부는 관계인구의 다양한 모습이라는 제목으로 시마네현(島根県) 아마정(海士町)과 고쓰시 (江津市), 가가와현(香川県) 만노정(満濃町)의 사례를 통해 관계인구가 어떻게 지역재생에 관련되는지에 대해 상세하게 서술했다. 제3부는 지역재생 주체의 형성과 관계인구의 역할을 서술했다. 이 책을 통해 인구감소 시대에 관계인구라는 새로운 대안을 모색할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

While various measures are being discussed for population reduction, Japan has recently paid attention to the 'relational population'. This article introduces Tanaka Terumi's Sociology of Related Populations-Regional revitalization in the Age of Population Decline(関係人口の社会学ー関係人口減少時代の地域再生). This book consists of three parts. Part 1 summarizes the discussion related to the establishment of the concept of the relational population. The characteristics and types of population decline in Japan by period and regional regeneration policies were compared and explained. The relational population is organized into space, time, and attitude as the subject of regional revitalization. The second part describes how the relational population is related to regional revitalization through the examples of Ama-cho(海士町) in Shimane Prefecture, and Manno-cho(満濃町) in Kagawa Prefecture under the title of Various Images of Relational Population. Part 3 describes the formation of regional revitalization subjects and the role of relational populations. Through this book, it will be possible to explore a new alternative to the relational population in the era of population decline.
