예비유아교사의 다문화 교육신념과 다문화 수용성이 다문화 교수효능감에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교육과에 재학하고 있는 예비유아교사들의 다문화에 대한 교육신념 및 다문화 수용성과 다문화 교수효능감의 차이와 각 변인들 간의 관련성, 그리고 변인들 간의 영향력을 알아보고 어느 정도의 설명력을 갖는지를 밝히는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 본 연구에 참여한 연구대상자는 충청남북도와 대전광역시 유아교육과에 재학 중인 예비유아교사 233명이었고, SPSS 통계프로그램을 이용하여 빈도와 백분율, t-검증과 일원변량분석, 상관관계 분석과 단순회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 예비유아교사들은 학년에 따라 다문화 교수효능감 중 수업기능 교수효능감에서 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 예비유아교사들의 교원양성기관에서의 다문화교육 실습 유무에 따라서 다문화 교수효능감 중 일상생활 효능감과 수업기능 효능감에서 차이를 보였다. 셋째, 예비유아교사들의 다문화 교육신념과 다문화 수용성, 그리고 다문화 교수효능감은 정적인 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 예비유아교사들의 다문화 교육신념과 다문화 수용성은 예비유아교사들의 다문화 교수효능감에 영향을 미치는 변인으로 나타났다. 그러므로 본 연구를 통해 예비유아교사 시기부터 다문화사회로의 변화에 적응할 수 있는 전체적인 다문화교육에 관심을 가지고 기초 함양부터 해야 한다는 시사점을 부여하고자 한다. 그럼에도 불구하고 본 연구는 일부지역의 예비유아교사들을 대상으로 설문조사가 실시되었기에 연구결과를 일반화시키기에는 다소의 무리가 있다고 본다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the possibility of causal relationships among multicultural teaching efficacy and related variables, multicultural education beliefs and multicultural acceptance and to provide basic meaningful data pertaining to the promotion of multicultural education for pre-service early childhood teachers. Data were gathered from 233 questionnaires presented to pre-service early childhood teachers who were studying in the Department of Early Childhood Education, using a survey questionnaire format. The data were analyzed using SPSS and t-tests, with ANOVA, a correlation analysis, and a multiple regression analysis also conducted. The major findings of this study were as follows; first, there was significant difference between teaching function in multicultural teaching efficacy and grades by pre-service early childhood teachers. Second, there were significant differences among teaching function efficacy and everyday life efficacy in relation to multicultural teaching efficacy and multicultural practice experience in pre-service early childhood teachers. Third, multicultural teaching efficacy was significantly correlated with multicultural education beliefs and multicultural acceptance. Fourth, multicultural education beliefs and multicultural acceptance were significant predicting variables with regard to the multicultural teaching efficacy of pre-service early childhood teachers. The findings show that it is important to provide basic data to understand and create multicultural education programs for pre-service early childhood teachers.
