창작 그림책에 나타난 아동의 놀이

국문 초록

본 연구는 창작 그림책에 나타난 아동의 놀이를 살펴보기 위해 아동의 놀이를 유발시키는 요인, 놀이의 양상, 놀이를 종결시키는 요인을 중심으로 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 아동의 놀이가 그려진 창작 그림책 172종을 선정하여 분석을 실행하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 물리적 요인으로 인해 놀이가 시작되는 모습이 가장 많이 나타났으며, 그중에서도 놀고 싶은 놀이소재로 인해 놀이가 유발된 모습이 가장 많이 그려졌다. 둘째, 실외보다 실내에서 놀이하고 있는 모습이 더 많이 나타났으며, 특히 ‘집 안’에서의 놀이가 가장 많이 그려졌다. 셋째, 놀이 대상 없이 혼자 놀이하고 있는 모습이 가장 많이 나타났다. 넷째, 아동의 놀이 유형 중에는 가장놀이(pretend play)가 가장 많이 나타났으며, 가장 자주 그려진 것은 상상놀이였다. 다섯째, 아동의 놀이상황에서 가장 많이 나타난 성인의 역할은 놀이에 주의를 기울이지 않는 비참여자 역할이었다. 여섯째, 놀이의 종결 요인은 주로 개인적인 것이었으며, 그중에서도 놀이에 충분한 만족감을 느낀 후 아동 스스로 놀이를 종결하는 모습이 가장 많이 그려졌다. 본 연구의 결과는 성인이 놀이 그림책의 교육적 가치를 인식하고 긍정적인 성인의 역할에 관심을 기울일 것을 제안한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that induce play, the aspect of play, and the factors that terminate the play to observe the children's play in the picture book. For this purpose, 172 picture books with the children’s play were selected and analyzed. The results of analysis are as follows: First, for the factors to motivate children’s play in the picture books, the children’s play was most frequently caused by the physical factors. Among them, it was the case that the play started due to the fascinating material. Second, the children's play space in the picture books appeared indoors more than outdoors and ‘play in the house' was the most common. Third, as for children’s play playmates, scenes of children playing alone without playmates were most frequently found in the picture books. Fourth, for the types of play in the picture books, the pretend play was the most common. Particularly, the imaginative play was the most common. Fifth, the most role of adults in children's play situation was the non-participant role that did not pay attention to children's play. Sixth, the most common factors that terminated the children's play in the picture books were the personal factors. Among them, it was shown that the children completed the play by themselves after the children were satisfied with the play. The results of this study suggest that adults recognize the educational value of the picture books reflecting play and pay attention to the positive role of adults.
