유아 영재교육 대상자 선발을 위한 평가 준거에 대한 기초연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 표준화 검사에서 판별할 수 없는 유아영재의 잠재성 평가를 위한 한 가지 방법으로 영재성 입증 자료들의 평가 준거를 개발 하고자 이에 대한 기초연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 유아영재 관찰과 유아영재 교사 면담을 중심으로 자료수집을 하였다. 그 후 질적 자료분석을 하면서 유아영재 판별기준을 크게 세 가지로 정리할 수 있었다. 과제집착력, 창의성, 지적잠 재력으로 이는 영재판별과 관련한 다른 연구자들의 기준과도 유사하다고 할 수 있겠다. 큰 기준은 유사하지만 교사들이 제시하는 평가를 위한 하위영역 내용들은 보다 구체화되었다. 이렇게 관찰과 교사판단에 기초한 새로운 평가 방법은 유아 영재 판별에 유용하게 쓰일 수 있으리라 기대해 본다.

영문 초록

The need of gifted education for early childhood is growing. The purpose of this study is to introduce an alternative way to assess and identify creative young children through developing qualitative evaluation for young gifted children. In teaching and learning, a qualitative evaluation can be thought of as an assessment tool for communicating expectations of quality. For this purpose, this research was conducted using the qualitative method. The researcher interviewed four teachers young gifted children and observed six children who have high result from K-WIPPSI and TTCT. The data collection was done by observation of the class, field notes of the researcher, and interviews with teachers. The data analysis was done by qualitative methods. As a result, the researcher constructed a rubric for identifying young gifted children including traits of learning, creating, and motivating. In sum, these results can serve as an evaluative tool for identifying young gifted children. The implication of this study was discussed related to the identification of creative young children. It represents a semi-standardized way of measuring young children's performance against pre-determined outcomes. They assist in elaborating both requirements and performance.
