국문 초록

본 연구는 주로 치료사의 입문의식으로 논의되고 활용되어왔던 자전공연의 맥락을 확장하여 공연기반의 연극치료, 그 특정한 한 형식으로서 자전공연의 특성을 명시한다. 연극/학 지반의 연극치료라는 관점을 견지하는 가운데 본고는 자전적 재료를 내용으로 하는 미적 형식으로서의 솔로 퍼포먼스의 출현과 자전공연이 지닌 임파워먼트와 치유성 간의 상관성을 탐색한다. 또한 그에 영향을 받은 치료 영역의 ‘자기현시적 공연’과 ‘치료적 자전공연’을 중심으로 그들 간 차이점은 물론 자전적 소재를 활용하는 타 장르와의 경계를 구체화한다. 이로써 근래 무차별적으로 소비되고 있는 ‘치료적’ 자전공연의 용어 사용에 대해 재고하고, 더불어 치료 영역에 있는 ‘실제(real) 사람들’의 자전공연이라 할지라도 영속적 변화라는 ‘효과’ 지향의 ‘치료’를 위해 고려해야 할 핵심요소가 바로 예술적 형식 혹은 미학임을 환기한다.

영문 초록

This study does clarify the characteristics of autobiographical performance as a specific form of performance-oriented dramatherapy which has been mainly discussed and utilized as an initiation rite for therapists in korea. Focusing on dramatherapy based on theater studies, this paper explores the emergence of solo performance as an aesthetic form with autobiographical materials and the correlation between the empowerment and healing properties of autobiographical performance. And, focusing on the ‘Self-Revelatory Performance’ or ‘autobiographical therapeutic performances’ in dramatherapy, the boundaries are identified by examining the differences between them as well as the main factors of therapeutic intervention based on autobiographical performance. In the process, this thesis reminds that even for autobiographical performances of ‘real people’ in the therapeutic field, an key factor to be consider for dramatherapy oriented to ‘effect’ of permanent transformation is an artistic form or aesthetics.
