영문 초록

Wang chong explained the close and inseparable dependence between the body and soul. He affirmed that when the body decays soul also disappears. He also argued that the spirit necessarily depends on the body for perception. He said soul and body are inseparable. He argued that mental activity cannot exist once soul and form are separated. It was as if there were no fires burning alone in the physical world without combustibles. He also said that there is no soul in the world that exists alone apart from the body. This view of Wang chong affirms that the body determines soul. He also acknowledged that soul was derived from matter. From this, Wang chong was able to solve soul problem of the relationship between the body and soul. In this regard, it can be said that Wang chong led the development of the body and soul ideology to a more accurate state, going beyond the Hwan tan's theory of the relationship between the body and soul ideology.
