국문 초록

본 연구는 Rousseau와 Dolto의 사상과 이론을 바탕으로 한 아동기 자녀양육법을 살펴봄으로써 과도한 교육열과 경쟁적 양육패턴이 만연한 우리 사회에 건강한 아동발달을 위한 대안적 양육법을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 따라서 본고에서는 Rousseau의 「에밀」과 Dolto의 저서들을 중심으로 시대와 분야가 다른 두 학자의 아동기 자녀양육법을 비교하여 고찰하고자 한다. 아동관을 통해 그들의 사상과 이론을 살펴봄으로써 Rousseau의 자연인으로서의 아동과 Dolto의 소통의 존재, 주체적 존재로서의 아동을 이해하고, 이것을 바탕으로 그들의 자녀양육법을 비교한다. Rousseau에서 Dolto로 이어지는 프랑스 자녀양육법의 특징은 크게 소극적 교육, 소통, 절제와 자율성으로 요약해 볼 수 있다. 궁극적으로 Rousseau와 Dolto는 자녀양육에 있어 경쟁적 조기교육과 과잉보호가 지배적인 우리 사회에 보다 건강한 독립적 주체로서의 삶을 준비할 수 있는 자율적인 아동으로서의 성장의 중요성을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the parenting method of children in childhood based on ideas and theory of Rousseau and Dolto to suggest an alternative parenting method for healthy childhood development in our society filled with excessive educational fervor and competitive parenting pattern. Thus, the study compared two different parenting methods of children in childhood from different period and era focusing on by Rousseau and books written by Dolto. By looking at their ideas and theories based on a child s perspective, we understand the child as a natural person of Rousseau and as the existence of communion and subject of Dolto, and compare their parenting methods of children. The characteristics of the French child parenting, which leads from Rousseau to Dolto, are largely divided into negative education, communication, temperance and autonomy. Rousseau and Dolto ultimately indicates the importance of autonomous childhood growth as a healthy independent subject in our society which is controled over competitive early education and excessive protection in parenting.
