초등학교 교과서의 김치 관련 내용 분석과 교과 통합 진로교육 방안 연구

국문 초록

김치는 건강, 웰빙, 슬로오푸드, 전통발효 음식으로 세계 5대 건강식품으로 각광받고 있으나 정작 우리 김치산업의 전망은 그리 밝지 않다. 이는 여러 가지 이유가 있겠지만 학교교육에서부터 김치를 영양가 있는 건강식품으로 이해시키지 못하고, 제조업체들이 김치를 국내외에 효과적으로 홍보하고 시장을 개척하는 노력을 적극적으로 하지 못했던 점 등을 들 수 있다(이재경, 2010; 이진혁, 2008). 따라서 본 연구에서는 2007년 개정 교육과정에 따라 발행된 초등학교 1～4학년 교과서에 수록된 김치 관련 내용을 양적·질적 방법으로 분석하여 김치관련 내용이 교과서에 어떻게 반영되어 있는지 실태를 파악하고, 김치와 관련된 교육적 체험을 통한 김치 산업에 대한 이해를 시키고 이를 바탕으로 교과에서 진로교육을 접근하는 방안을 모색하는 데에 있다. 연구 결과 양적 분석은 김치 관련 내용의 수록 건수와 이미지 및 텍스트 점수를 합산하여 산출하였고, 질적분석은 양적 분석 결과 상위 25%에 해당되는 교과서를 김치 관련 내용의 김치 내용 체계표상 영역의 고른 분포도, 초등교육의 김치 교육 목표와의 일치성, 교육적 활용 측면(주활동·부활동)의 기준으로 분석하였다. 양적·질적 기준으로 1～4학년 교과서에 수록된 김치 관련 내용을 분석해본 결과 『사회 3-1』이 양적·질적으로 가장 우수하게 수록되어 있었다. 그리고 주로 김치와 관련된 내용은 김치의 역사와 문화, 김치의 영양과 건강에 관한 내용이 주로 수록되어 있다. 한편 연구 결과를 통해 김치에 대한 인식을 제고하고 김치의 섭취를 장려하기 위해서는 김치에 관한 내용을 보다 체계적으로 구성하고 조직하여 교과서에 관련 내용을 수록할 필요가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 이를 통해 효과적인 진로교육을 실시하기 위해서는 초등학교 수준에서 교과통합적진로 교육으로 접근할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The study aims to discover the reality of educating Gimchi and explore the desirable approaches to learning Gimchi by analyzing the contents of Gimchi in the elementary school textbooks of grade 1 to 4 according to the Revised National Curriculum of 2007. For this study, the quantitative and the qualitative analyses were employed. Firstly, the number of the contents of Gimchi contained in the books were obtained by adding the number of the images of Gimchi.. Secondly, the textbooks of the top 25 percent from the quantitative analysis were analyzed by the equal distribution of the contents of Gimchi, the accordance with the objects of educating Gimchi in elementary schools, and the educational application of Gimchi. Consequently, this study requests that the textbooks need to include the organized contents of Gimchi. for improving the recognition of Gimchi. and encouraging to eating Gimchi.. In addition, the contents of the textbooks directly and indirectly related in Gimchi distribute to improve the desirable dietary habits of students, and more learn about the cultural characteristics, the superiority as the heathy food, and the globalization of Gimchi.. For this reason, the approaches to effective educating Gimchi. should be combined with the subject·topic of Gimchi, and organize the contents of Gimchi by the levels of schools or grades. Then again, through the results of this study, we could know that is required to include systematically constructed and organized Kimchi contentsin textbook to enhance the awareness about Kimchi and promote the intake of Kimchi. And we should approach to integrated subjects career education in elementary school level.
