고등학생이 지각한 부모의 과보호양육수준에 따른 협력행동 및 갈등관리전략의 차이

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 부모의 과보호 양육 수준에 따라 자녀의 협력행동 및 갈등관리전략에 차이가 있는지 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 서울 소재 고등학교 1. 2학년 637명(1학년: 281명, 2학년: 356명)에게 한국 과보호 양육척도(K-POS)를 실시하여, 과보호 집단 25명과 비과보호 집단 25명을 선정하였다. 이들을 대상으로 사회적 딜레마 상황에서의 공공재 게임 과제를 실시하여 두 집단 간 협력행동의 차이를 비교하였다. 동시에 부모, 또래, 기타 성인 간의 갈등과제를 제시하여 두 집단 간 갈등관리전략을 비교하였다. 연구 결과, 과보호 집단과 비과보호 집단 간의 협력행동 및 갈등관리전략의 차이는 유의미하지 않았다. 하지만 학년에 따른 갈등관리전략의 차이는 부모의 과보호적 양육수준과 관련이 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 과보호 집단과는 다르게 비과보호 집단에서만 학년이 높을수록 더 다양한 갈등관리전략을 사용하였다. 또, 협력행동의 경우, 학년에 따른 주효과가 확인되었으며, 학년이 높을수록 협력행동이 증가하였다. 이 같은 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 함의와 의의에 더불어 한계점 및 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the differences in high school students’ cooperation behaviors and conflict management strategies according to the level of parental over-protectiveness. In order to achieve this purpose of the study, K-POS was administered to a total number of 637 students (consisted of 281 first grade students and 356 second grade students) in a high school in Seoul. Out of these students, 25 students were selected as the overprotected group, and another 25 students were selected as the comparative group. Targeting these two groups of students, a public goods game task in social dilemma situations was carried out and the differences in cooperative behavior between the two groups were compared. At the same time, tasks related to possible conflicts that may occur between students and their parents, peers, or other adults were presented to the students and the differences in conflict management strategies between the two groups were compared, as well. The results showed that the differences in cooperation behavior and conflict management strategies between the overprotected group and the comparative group was not significant. However, the results revealed that the differences in conflict management strategies in relation to the grade level of the students correlated with how overprotective their parents’ were. In addition, in the case of cooperative behavior, it was confirmed that the main effect was the grade level of the student; in other words, cooperative behavior increased with the grade level. Based on these results, implications and significance of this study, as well as suggestions for the limitations and follow-up studies were discussed.
