공립유치원 평가에 참여한 교원의 유치원 평가에 대한 인식

국문 초록

본 연구는 유치원 평가의 목적 및 방법, 평가의 영역 및 지표, 평가의 만족도 및 결과 활용에 대한 유치원 교원의 인식을 알아보는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 대전광역시에 소재한 공립유치원 교원 중 유치원 평가에 참여한 경험이 있는 교원 144명을 대상으로 질문지 조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과로 첫째, 유치원 평가의 목적은 유치원 교육과정의 질적 수준 제고가 가장 우선시 되어야 한다. 평가는 3년 주기로 실시하는 것이 적절하며, 평가의 절차는 자체평가와 현장평가로 실시되어야 하며, 유치원 평가의 활성화를 위해서는 평가 절차 및 서류의 간소화가 필요하다고 하였다. 둘째, 유치원 평가 영역 및 지표의 내용이 많고 광범위한 것은 부적절하며 평가 영역에 따른 지표의 범위 축소가 필요하다고 하였다. 또한, 국가공통지표 외에 자체지표가 필요하며, 교육과정 영역이 가장 중요하다고 하였다. 셋째, 유치원 평가제도의 만족도는 보통이라는 인식이 가장 높았다. 평가결과는 해당 유치원에게만 공개하고 평가영역별 우수 유치원의 사례를 선정하여 교육청 홈페이지에 탑재하는 것이 적절하며, 각 유치원의 교육과정 및 운영을 위한 피드백 자료로 활용되어야 한다고 하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine kindergarten teachers awareness of objective, methods, domains and indicators for kindergarten evaluation and satisfaction and applications of evaluation results. To do this study, 144 public kindergarten teachers who have experienced in kindergarten evaluation in the city of Daejeon were given survey questionares. The findings were as follows; First, quality of kindergarten curriculum should be most highly considered in the main objective of the evaluation. Concerning the evaluation cycle, the respondents considered that it would be better to implement it once every three years. In terms of evaluation process, both in-house and in-site evaluations are favored. In order to activate kindergarten evaluation, its process and documentations should be simplified. Second, it is thought that evaluation items and indicators are inappropriately extensive and far-reaching, so that its indicators should be curtailed based on domains of the evaluation. In addition to national indicators, self-indicators should be included in the evaluation. It is believed that curriculum is the most important domain in the evaluation. Third, the largest group expressed a moderate level of satisfaction with the kindergarten evaluation system. Cases of excellent kindergartens in each evaluation domain should be posted on the website of office of education and evaluation results should be used as feedback for the development and implementation of kindergarten curriculum.
