국문 초록

본 연구는 인플레이션이 베트남의 경제성장에 미치는 영향을 포괄적으로 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 2007년부터 2024년까지의 분기별 데이터를 활용하고, 동적 시뮬레이션 기반 한계검정법(dynamic simulations of the autoregressive distributed lag, DYNARDL)을 적용한다. 분석 결과, 인플레이션은 장기적으로 베트남의 경제성장을 유의하게 촉진하는 반면, 단기적인 영향은 유의미하지 않은 것으로 나타난다. 본 연구는 인플레이션과 경제성장 간의 명확한 관계를 규명하지 못한 기존 실증 연구들을 보완하며, 특히 베트남의 경우 인플레이션이 경제성장에 부정적인 영향을 미친다는 기존 연구들과는 상반된 결과를 제시한다. 따라서 본 연구 결과는 정책 입안자들이 효과적인 거시경제 전략을 수립하고 관리하는 데 도움이 될 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study investigates the effects of inflation on Vietnam’s economic growth in a comprehensive manner. We employ the dynamic simulations of the autoregressive distributed lag (DYNARDL) model to analyze the dataset covering the period from 2007 to 2024. The results from the DYNARDL model indicate that inflation promotes economic growth in Vietnam in the long run, but its short-term impact is insignificant. The findings of this study are relevant for policymakers and academics, as they provide evidence in support of prior empirical studies that failed to establish a clear relationship between inflation and economic growth. Furthermore, the findings serve as a counterpoint to studies that found a negative impact, particularly in the Vietnamese context. Therefore, these results may assist policymakers in formulating and managing effective macroeconomic strategies.
