국문 초록

본 연구에서는 초등학생의 정서지능과 창의성이 어떠한 관계가 있는지 살펴보기 위해 정서지능과 창의성 간의 상관관계 및 정서지능의 창의성에 대한 설명력을 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 창의성은 창의사고와 창의성격으로 구분하여(이경화, 유경훈, 2012) 정서지능과 창의사고, 창의성격 간의 상관관계와 정서지능의 창의사고와 창의성격에 대한 설명력을 알아보았다. 연구대상은 수도권에 위치한 3개 초등학교에 재학 중인 1, 3, 5학년 아동 120명(남:65여:55)을 선정하여 표준화된 아동용 창의성검사(이경화, 2014)와 정서지능 척도(문용린, 1998)를 활용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 자료분석을 위해 Pearson의 상관분석과 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 정서지능과 창의사고와 창의성격 간에 부분적인 정적 또는 부적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 정서지능의 하위요인은 창의사고와 창의성격에 의미있는 설명력이 있음이 밝혀졌다. 정서지능과 창의성과의 관계에 대한 결과에 의해 아동의 창의성 증진을 위해 자신의 고유한 감정을 인식하고 조절하며 적절히 표현할 수 있는 정서지능을 위해 안정적인 정서지능을 지지하는 교육환경이 필요함을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and creativity in elementary school students, the correlation between emotional intelligence and the effects of emotional intelligence on creativity was performed. For this purpose, creativity was divided into two subfactors, creative thinking and creative personality and the correlation between emotional intelligence, creative thinking, and creative personality, and the effects of emotional intelligence on creative thinking and creative personality were investigate. The subjects of this study were 120 elementary school students(male:65, female:55) in grades 1, 3, and 5 and 3 schools in the metropolitan area were analyzed using the standardized creativity test for children of Lee(2010) and the emotional intelligence scale of Moon(1998). For the collected data analysis, Pearson correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis were performed. As a result, first, there was a partial positive correlation between emotional intelligence, creative thinking and creative personality of children. Second, it was found that the emotional intelligence of children show a meaningful explanation in creative thinking and creative personality.
