국문 초록

본 연구는 노인의 평생교육 참여도와 생활만족도가 성공적 노화에 미치는 매개효과를 검증하기 위한 목적으로 진행되었다. 이러한 연구목적 달성을 위해 노인의 평생교육을 독립변수로, 성공적 노화를 종속변수로, 생활만족도를 매개변수로 설정하였으며, Hayes의 제시한 SPSS Process Macro Model 4를 적용하여 매개효과 분석을 시행하였다. 연구결과, 평생교육 학습자가 몰입 가능한 환경 조성을 통해 노년기 삶의 인식은 더욱 성공적인 것으로 나타났다. 이는 노인의 평생교육 등 학습성과 향상을 위한 교육적 개입의 필요성을 의미한다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인 평생교육 참여도는 학력과 건강상태와 상관관계를 보이며, 생활만족도는 나이, 학력, 건강상태, 노인 평생교육 참여도와 유의미하였다. 둘째, 노인 평생교육 참여도는 노인들의 성공적 노화에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치고 있다. 이러한 결과는 평생교육 프로그램 참여가 높을수록 성공적 노화 수준이 증가함을 의미한다. 셋째, 노인 평생교육 참여도에서 학습몰입은 성공적 노화와 생활만족도에 영향을 미친다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to verify the mediating effects of the elderly's participation in lifelong education and life satisfaction on successful aging. To achieve this research purpose, the elderly's lifelong education was set as an independent variable, successful aging as a dependent variable, and life satisfaction as a mediating variable, and the SPSS Process Macro Model 4 suggested by Hayes was applied to conduct a mediating effect analysis. The results of the study showed that the perception of life in old age was more successful through the creation of an environment in which lifelong education learners could immerse themselves. This means that educational interventions are necessary to improve learning outcomes such as lifelong education for the elderly. The results of the analysis of this study are as follows. First, the elderly's participation in lifelong education was correlated with academic background and health status, and life satisfaction was significantly related to age, academic background, health status, and participation in lifelong education for the elderly. Second, the elderly's participation in lifelong education had a positive (+) effect on the elderly's successful aging. This result means that the higher the participation in lifelong education programs, the higher the level of successful aging. Third, learning immersion in the elderly's participation in lifelong education affected successful aging and life satisfaction.
