언론 보도기사로 살펴본 사찰음식에 대한 주요 토픽 및 연도별 변화 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 2018년부터 2024년까지 2,166건의 국내 언론기사를 바탕으로 사찰음식 관련 사회적 담론의 전개 양상을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 LDA 토픽 모델링 분석을 활용하여 기사에서 제시되는 주요 키워드의 특징과 핵심 토픽을도출하고, 시기별 변화를 분석하였다. 주요 키워드를 시기별로 구분해 본 결과, 사찰음식의 기능적 측면, 가치와 생활 속확산, 외형적·문화적 측면으로 키워드가 변화하여 사찰음식 논의가 다루어졌다. LDA 분석 결과 6개의 토픽이 도출되었으며, 출현 비중은 대중화(25.8%)와 관광 자원(23.7%)이 높은 비중을 차지했고, 다음으로 정책활동(23.4%), 한식문화(20.4%), 글로벌화(19.3%), 건강트렌드(15.8%) 순으로 나타났다. 종합적으로, 사찰음식이 현대에는 건강 트렌드와 미식문화로 재해석되면서 본질적 가치보다 실용적 측면이 강조되는 보도 경향이 나타났다. 결론적으로, 이 연구는 사찰음식에관한 언론 보도에서 드러나는 시간적 흐름과 논의 변화를 종합적으로 살펴봄으로써, 사찰음식의 대중적 이미지 형성 과정에서 언론이 어떠한 관점을 제시해왔는지를 분석하였고, 사찰음식의 의미 있는 사회적 확산을 위한 실천적 방향을 실무적으로제시하고 있어 후속 연구의 기초 자료로서 의의를 지닌다. 또한, 사찰음식을 둘러싼 의미 형성과 인식 변화의 흐름을 파악함으로써, 향후 사찰음식에 대한 폭넓은 해석을 가능하게 하는 학문적 자료로 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study examined how social discourse surrounding temple food developed by analyzing 2,166 domestic news articles from 2018 to 2024. Using LDA topic modeling, major keywords and core topics of the news articles were identified and their temporal changes were examined. When major keywords were categorized by period, it was found that the focus of the social discourse shifted over time. Initially, the functional aspects of temple food were highlighted. Subsequently, the emphasis moved toward its intrinsic value and integration into everyday life. In the later period, the social discourse expanded to emphasize temple food’s external appeal and cultural aspects. The LDA analysis revealed six topics, with Popularization (25.8%) and Tourism Resources (23.7%) representing the highest proportions, followed by Policy Initiatives (23.4%), Korean Food Culture (20.4%), Globalization (19.3%), and Health Trends (15.8%). Overall, media coverage tended to reinterpret temple food as a modern health trend and gourmet culture, emphasizing its practical aspects over its intrinsic values. In conclusion, this study provides a comprehensive overview of how social discourse about temple food has evolved over time. By analyzing the perspectives that shaped its public image, the study offers practical guidance for promoting temple food's broader social acceptance. Additionally, by identifying how meanings around temple food have been constructed and how public perceptions have changed, this study provides insights for future academic discussions and interpretative studies regarding temple food.
