국문 초록

본 연구는 2003~2020년 강소성 13개 도시 패널데이터를 활용해 양방향 고정효과 모델을 구축하여 FDI의 환경효과를 실증 분석하였다. 연구 결과, FDI 유입 증가는 이산화황(SO₂) 배출량 확대를 통해 환경 악화에 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었으며, 특히 시장 규모가 작은 지역에서 환경파급효과가 더욱 뚜렷하게 관측되었다. 이는 산업구조 차이와 환경규제 격차에 기인한 것으로 분석된다. 이에 따라 지역별 차별화된 환경규제 체계 구축, 산업구조 고도화를 통한 FDI 유치 전략전환, 녹색기술 상용화 지원 체계 강화 등 정책적 제안도 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study constructed a two-way fixed effects model using panel data from 13 cities in Jiangsu Province from 2003 to 2020 to empirically analyze the environmental effects of FDI. The results indicate that an increase in FDI inflows has a statistically significant positive effect on environmental degradation through the expansion of sulfur dioxide (SO₂) emissions, with the environmental impact being particularly pronounced in regions with smaller market sizes. This phenomenon is attributed to disparities in industrial structures and discrepancies in environmental regulation. Based on these findings, the study proposes policy recommendations, including the establishment of region-specific environmental regulatory frameworks, strategic shifts in FDI attraction through industrial structure upgrading, and the enhancement of support systems for the commercialization of green technologies.
