국문 초록

한류의 글로벌 확산은 단순히 문화 소비에 국한되지 않고, 글로벌 물류 네트워크에 상당한 변화를 가져왔다. K-POP 굿즈, K-Beauty제품, 패션, 음식, 전자기기, 자동차 등 다양한 상품의 해외 수요를 급격히 증가시켰고, 이로 인해 글로벌 물류 네트워크에서 한국을 중심으로 한 수출입 물량이 대폭 증가했다. 그러나 한류와 물류간의 연계성, 한류 콘텐츠 확산과 물류 네트워크 산업간의 상호작용을 살펴보는 연구는 그동안 전무했다. 따라서 본 연구는 한류 콘텐츠(드라마, 영화, K-POP)와 소비재 상품(음식, 화장품, 패션 등)의 수요 증가가 글로벌 물류 시스템에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 한류 콘텐츠의 확산과 물류 산업 간의 상호작용을이론적으로 규명 및 한류의 성공이 글로벌 물류 네트워크에 미친 영향을 분석해 보고자 한다. 이를 위해, 본 연구는 한류 콘텐츠와 물류 분야 모두를 주요 사업으로 영위하고 있는 CJ그룹(CJ제일제당, CJ ENM, CJ대한통운, CJ올리브영)과 인천국제공항 물류시스템과의 연계성을 미국시장 사례를 통해 분석하였다. 본 연구는 한류의 확산이 글로벌 물류 네트워크에 미친 영향을 살펴보고, 물류 산업이 한류의 지속 및 확장가능성에 기여한 역할과 지속가능한 물류 시스템을 위한 한류 콘텐츠 간의 협업 가능성에 대한비즈니스 시사점을 제시해준다.

영문 초록

The global expansion of Hallyu (the Korean Wave, or K-Culture) extends beyond cultural consumption; it has significantly influenced the global logistics network. The rising international demand for various Korean products, including K-POP merchandise, K-Beauty products, fashion, food, electronics, and automobiles, has led to a marked increase in export and import volumes related to South Korea within the global logistics framework. However, research exploring the connection between Hallyu and logistics, as well as the interplay between the dissemination of Hallyu content and the logistics industry, has been largely lacking. Consequently, this study aims to examine the impact of the growing demand for Hallyu content (dramas, films, K-POP) and consumer goods (food, cosmetics, fashion, etc.) on the global logistics system. Additionally, it seeks to theoretically explore the relationship between the growth of Hallyu content and the logistics industry and analyze how Hallyu’s success affects the global logistics network. To achieve this, the study scrutinizes the relationship between the logistics system of CJ Group (which includes CJ CheilJedang, CJ ENM, CJ Logistics, and CJ Olive Young) and Incheon International Airport, key players in both the Hallyu content and logistics sectors, using the U.S. market as a case study. This research provides insights into the implications of Hallyu’s expansion on the global logistics network and examines the logistics industry’s role in supporting and promoting Hallyu. Furthermore, it offers business implications regarding the potential for collaboration between the logistics sector and Hallyu content to create a sustainable logistics system.
