국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 음악선호행동과 자기 개방성 간 관계를 탐색하는 데 있다. 본 연구에서는음악선호행동을 측정하는 설문지를 개인적 차원과 사회적 차원으로 나누어 구성하였고, 자기개방성 설문지를 다양성의 선호, 예술적 감수성, 지적 호기심, 내면감정수용, 가치판단의 다섯가지 하위 요인으로 구성하였다. 이렇게 구성된 설문지에 대해 만 19세 이상의 성인이 온라인으로 참여하여 응답하였고, 최종적으로 196명의 응답 자료가 분석 과정에 포함되었다. 분석 결과, 음악선호행동과 자기 개방성 간에는 유의한 정적 상관관계가 나타났고, 특히 사회적 차원의 음악선호행동은 개인적 차원보다 자기 개방성과 다소 더 높은 상관관계를 보였다. 또한, 음악감상 시간에 따라 자기 개방성 수준에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났고 단순선형회귀분석 결과, 음악선호행동이 자기 개방성에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이는 음악선호행동이 단순한 취향을 넘어 개인의 내면적 성향과 태도를 반영하는 심리적 지표로 기능할 수 있음을 시사한다. 본 연구는 선행연구들이 개인적 음악 경험에만 초점을 맞춘 것과달리, 사회적 차원의 음악 행동까지 포함하여 자기 개방성과의 관계를 다각적으로 조명하고, 음악 행동과 구체적인 개인 내적 성향의 연결성을 심층적으로 살펴본 것에 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to explore the relationship between music preference behavior and self-openness. A questionnaire measuring music preference behavior was developed with personal and social dimensions. The self-openness questionnaire comprised five subfactors: preference for diversity, artistic sensitivity, intellectual curiosity, acceptance of inner emotions, and value tolerance. Adults aged 19 and older participated in the survey online, and a total of 196 responses were included in the final analysis. The results showed a significant positive correlation between music preference behavior and self-openness. Notably, the social dimension of music preference behavior showed a stronger correlation with self-openness than the personal dimension. Furthermore, significant differences in the self-openness score was found depending on music listening time, and a simple linear regression analysis indicated that music preference behavior had a significant positive effect on self-openness. These findings suggest that music preference behavior may serve not only as a reflection of personal taste, but also as a psychological indicator of individual’s internal dispositions and attitudes. This study extends prior research by incorporating the social dimension of music behavior and examining its multidimensional relationship with self-openness, while offering deeper insight into how specific music behaviors related to individual traits.
