국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 3세 유아의 어휘력, 3세 유아의 가정양육환경, 3세 유아의 양육행동이 초등학교 1학년 학업수행능력에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국아동패널 4차와 8차 년도 자료를 활용하였으며, 자료의 분석을 위해 상관 분석과 단계적 중다회귀분석을 실행하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 3세 유아의 어휘력, 가정양육환경과 어머니 양육행동, 초등학교 1학년 학업수행능력은 모든 변인들 간 정적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 3세 유아의 어휘력, 가정양육환경과 어머니 통제적 양육행동이 초등학교 1학년 학업수행능력에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 어휘력이 가장 높은 영향력을 보였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해서 3세 유아의 어휘력, 가정양육환경, 어머니 통제적 양육행동이 유아기 이후 시기인 초등학교 1학년의 학업성취에 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었다. 더불어, 본 연구 결과는 어머니가 3세 유아들에게 어휘력 발달을 지원할수록, 학습에 흥미를 주는 양질의 가정환경을 제공할수록, 가정교육을 위해 부적절한 행동을 지도하고, 바람직한 행동을 지원할수록 3세 유아는 초등학교에 진학해 학업을 원활히 수행할 수 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of vocabulary of 3-year-old, home rearing environment of 3-year-old, and parenting behavior of 3-year-old on academic performance in the first grade of elementary school. To this end, data from the 4th and 8th years of the Korean Children’s Panel were used, and correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis were performed to analyze the data. The results of the study are as follows. First, 3-year-old’s vocabulary, home-rearing environment, mother-rearing behavior, and first-year grade’s academic performance showed a positive correlation between all variables. Second, It was found that the vocabulary, home-rearing environment, and mother-rearing behavior of 3-year-old had an effect on the academic performance of the first grade of elementary school, and vocabulary had the highest influence. Looking at the effect of the sub-factors of the variables on academic performance. From the results of this study, it was found that the vocabulary, home-rearing environment, and maternal parenting behavior of 3-year-old affected the academic achievement of the first year of elementary school, which is the later period. The results of this study suggest that the more teachers and parents improve their vocabulary and provide a quality home rearing environment, desirable parenting behavior to young children, the more young children can perform their studies smoothly.
