의론체 漢文小說 연구 - <黃生傳>을 중심으로

국문 초록

한문소설은 실용적인 한문 산문 문체에서 발전하였다. 시가 감정의 표현을중심으로 한다면 산문은 의사를 표현하는 실용적인 장르이다. 고전소설의 발전은 한문 문체의 1차적인 내용에서 점차 미학적인 소설 고유의 특징을 발현하는 방향으로 발전해왔다. 그러나 조선후기에 북벌과 대청의식을 드러내는현실에서 한문 문체의 하나인 의론체를 통해 작가 의식을 드러내기도 하였는데, 金琦의 漢文小說 <黃生傳>도 그 중하나이다. <황생전>에서는 일반적인인물의 갈등과 서사성보다는 북벌과 대청의식에 대해 문답의 방식으로 의론을 펼치는 내용이 주가 된다. 특히 병기와 병법 지식에 대한 구체적이고 해박한 전개는 북벌을 위해 실질적인 준비를 주장하는 작가의식을 대변한다. 아울러 요동 정벌이라는 장소의 회복을 위해 구체적인 방법론을 제시한다. 이는 황생이라는 소설적 인물을 형상화하기 보다는 그 인물을 통해 직설적으로작가의 견해를 관철하려는 의도로 보인다. 특히 당시 담론이 되었던 북벌과대청의식에 대해 치열한 논의가 진행되고 있었으며, 각각의 처지에서 다양한관짐을 지니고 있었다는 점을 감안할 때 하나의 입론과 설득의 과정을 소설속에 구현한 것으로 보인다.

영문 초록

Chinese novels were developed using a practical prose style in that language. If poetry focuses on expressing emotions, then prose is a practical genre that expresses opinions. Classical novels have progressed from the primary content of the Chinese writing style to the gradual expression of the novel's unique aesthetic characteristics. However, in the late Joseon Dynasty, in the reality of the Northern Expedition and the Great Qing consciousness, the writer's consciousness was revealed through the Uiron script, a Chinese writing style; and Kim Ryu's Chinese literature, , is one of them. In , the main content is a question-and-answer discussion about the Northern Expedition and the Daecheong ritual rather than the general character conflict and narrative. In particular, the detailed and extensive development of knowledge about weapons and military methods represents the author's consciousness of insisting on practical preparations for the the expedition. In addition, a specific methodology is presented for the recovery of the Liaodong Conquest. This appears to be an intention to directly convey the author's views through the character rather than embodying Saeng’s fictional character. In particular, intense discussions were ongoing about the Northern Expedition and the Daecheong rituals that were discussed at the time. Considering that each person had a variety of views, it seems that the process of introduction and persuasion was implemented in the novel.
