국문 초록

이 연구는 학습과학 연구를 통해 밝혀진 학습의 원리를 창의적 과정과 연계하여 논의하고, 이러한 원리가 교실 내 창의성 증진을 위해 어떤 시사점을 갖는지를 탐색하였다. 학습과학은 하나의 학문영역이 아니라 교수와 학습을 연구하는 학제 간 분야를 말하며, 과거 인지주의 전통부터 구성주의, 사회문화적 이론, 상황학습, 생태학적 이론 등 학습을 바라보고 연구하는 다양한 관점들을 포괄한다. 이 연구는 학습의 원리(또는 요소)로 1) 인식론적 신념과 학습, 2) 지식 구축 활동, 3) 영역학습 및 영역 간 학습, 4) 사회문화적 과정으로서의 학습, 그리고 5) 창발적 현상으로서의 학습을 제시하였다. 이들 원리는 교과의 성취 기준과 학습 목표의 제약을 받으면서도 창의적인 표현을 독려하고 창의적 기회를 제공하며, 개인 수준에서는 기존 지식 요소의 재통합을, 집단 수준에서는 새로운 공동체 지식의 창출을 추구하는 ‘창의적 학습’의 특성을 반영한다. 이러한 원리를 바탕으로, 학습자의 인식 주체성(epistemic agency) 형성, 교과 및 교과 영역 간 학습을 도모하는 교육과정 운영의 혁신, 그리고 창의적 기회의 설계자로서의 교사 역할에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study discussed the principles of learning in connection with the creative process revealed through the learning sciences research, and explored the implications of the principles for enhancing creativity in the classroom. ‘The learning sciences’ is an interdisciplinary field that studies teaching and learning, encompassing various perspectives on and ways of studying learning, from cognitive traditions to constructivism, from sociocultural theory to situated learning and ecological theory. As principles or elements of learning, this study emphasized the relationship between epistemological beliefs and learning, knowledge-building activities, learning within and across the disciplines, and learning as a sociocultural process and an emergent phenomenon. These principles reflect ‘creative learning’ that encourages creative expression and provides creative opportunities while being constrained by the subject's achievement standards and learning goals, and reintegrates existing knowledge elements at the individual level and seeks to create new community knowledge at the group level. Based on the principles, the need to enhance learners’ epistemic agency, curriculum innovation, and teachers’ role in student learning were discussed.
