국문 초록

한국어 교육에서 문학은 그것이 가지고 있는 효용성에 비해 활발히 활용되는 편은 아니다. 그러나 문학 작품은 살아 있는 언어 자료로서, 다양한 문화 요소를 포함하고 있는 좋은 읽기 자료의 역할은 여전히 유효하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 쓰기를 위한 내용지식으로서 문학 텍스트활용의 가능성을 타진해 문학 활용의 범위를 확장하고자 하는 데에 목적이 있다. 다음의 두 가지 목표를 가지고 학습자들의 실제 글을 평가하고 분석하였다. 1. 문학과 비문학 형태로 내용지식을 제공받은 학습자군의 글에 차이가 있는가? 2. 학습자들의 글을 평가했을 경우 평가 항목별 차이가 나는 부분이 있는가? 그 결과 문학과 비문학을 읽고 글을 쓴 학습자군의 글의 평균과 표준편차에서 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 이는 문학이 비문학 못지 않게 내용지식을 제공하는 읽기 자료로서 가능성이 큼을 시사한다. 또한, 평가 항목별 비교(내용, 구성, 문법, 어휘, 텍스트 특성)에서는 문학, 비문학 상관없이 모두 구성보다는 내용에서 좋은 점수를 받았으며, 또한, 문학을 읽은 학습자군에서는 구성보다는 문법에서, 비문학을 읽은 학습자군은 구성보다는 어휘에서 좋은 점수를 받았다. 평가한 교사의 숫자가 적어 확대할 수는 없으나, 문학을 내용 지식으로 사용했을 경우쓰기의 내용과 정확한 문법 사용의 향상을 기대해 볼 수 있겠다.

영문 초록

Korean literature has not been actively used in Korean language education compared to its benefits. However, it’s still valid argument that Korean literature education is equal to Korean language education as Korean literature is the actual output from linguistic activity and plays a role of living language material. Therefore, this thesis focuses on testing the feasibility of using Korean literature text as content information for Korean writing education. The close relationship between reading and writing has been already recognized and proved through various studies, however, no studies are available about leveraging Korean literature as content information in Korean writing education for foreign students. This thesis aims to answer for below two questions and actual writings of foreign students were analyzed support the answers. 1. Is there any material difference in writings of foreign students when they received Korean literature as content reference information vs non Korean literature material? 2. Is there any difference in each evaluation category when their writings were assessed? The results show that the writings from the two groups described above do not have material differences compared to average and standard deviation. This fact supports that Korean literature can be as good content material for writing classes as non-literature material. When the writings were assessed by evaluation categories (content, structure, grammar, vocabulary, text character), both groups show higher scores in content than in structure. Also, writings of students who received Korean literature as reference material were scored better in grammar than in structure whilst those of the other group were scored better in vocabulary than in structure. It can’t be firmly concluded as smaller number of teachers assessed the writings, however, it can improve students’ writing skills in ‘content’ and ‘grammar’ when Korean literature is leveraged as content information in Korean writing education.
