장르-텍스트 기반 문법 교육 내용 연구 - 논리적 응결 장치를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 장르-텍스트 기반 문법 교육 내용의 필요성을 고찰하고 주장하는 글을 대상으로 문법 교육 모형의 사례를 제시하였다. 이것은기존의 문장 단위의 문법 교육에서 벗어나 장르와 연결하여, 실제 텍스트에서 생산된 언어 형식에 초점을 두어 문법 지식의 유용성을 확보할 수 있고, 궁극적으로 학습자가 표현 의도에 따른 적절한 문법 형식을 자유자재로 표현할 수 있게 한다. 이에 본 연구는 주장하는 글로 한정하여, 텍스트 생산자가 논리성을확보하기 위해 어떠한 논리적 응결 장치를 사용하는지 외국인 한국어학습자와 한국인 모어 화자의 실제 주장하는 글을 비교·분석하였다. 그 결과 한국인 모어 화자는 ‘시간 > 나열 > 인과 > 목적 > 대조’의 순으로, 외국인 한국어 학습자는 ‘나열 > 조건 > 인과 > 시간 > 대조’의순으로 응결 장치의 사용에 있어서 차이를 보였다. 또한 외국인 한국어 학습자는 지나치게 하나의 응결 장치를 반복적으로 사용하여 문장을 단조롭게 하였고, 고급 학습자임에도 불구하고 복문의 사용 빈도가낮았다. 이와 같이 외국인 한국어 학습자는 텍스트 생산자의 의도에 맞는 적절한 문법 표현을 선택하는 데에 어려움이 있다. 따라서 두 집단 간의 텍스트 분석 결과를 토대로 외국인 한국어 학습자의 주장하는 글 쓰기교육의 내용을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study considered the necessity of the grammar educational contents based on the genre-text and it suggested a grammar educational model by using argumentative writing. This model, unlike the traditional grammar education focusing on sentence unit, connects with the genre and focuses on language form from the students' argumentative writings, so that it can secure the usefulness of their grammatical knowledge, and it ultimately can help students to express by using appropriate grammatical forms in accordance with their intention to express. In this study, it compared argumentative writings of foreign Korean learners with those of Koreans in order to reveal what kind of logical cohesive device the writers use to ensure their logic. As a result, there existed difference between their use of cohesive devices; Koreans use ‘Time> Lists>Cause and effect>Purpose>Contrast’ and foreign Korean learners are ‘Lists>Conditions>Cause and effect>Time>Contrast’ in order of frequency. It was also found that foreign Korean learners use excessively monotonous sentences by using the same cohesive device repeatedly, and there was low frequency of using complex sentences even from the writings of advanced learners. Thus, it is difficult for foreign learners to choose the appropriate grammatical expressions in accordance with their intention, so that this study suggests writing educational content of the argumentative writings for foreign Korean learners based on the result of the text analysis between the two groups.
