춘천 ‘외바퀴수레싸움’을 통한 八關會와 중국 廟會의 연관성 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 춘천의 외바퀴수레싸움을 매개로 고려 八關會와 중국 廟會의 연관성을 연구한 것이다. 춘천의 외바퀴수레싸움은『高麗史』睿宗 때의 기록과 신숭겸의 후손인 申欽이 지은｢高麗太師壯節申公忠烈碑 幷序｣를 통해 신숭겸과 김락의 偶像이 말을 타고 뜰을 뛰어다녔던 고려 八關會 때의 雜戱에서 유래되었을 것으로 추정된다. 그러나 외바퀴수레의 세부적인 형태와 싸움 방식은『東國歲時記』의 아주 짧은 기록 외에 다른 문헌에서는 기록이 아직 발견되고 있지 않기 때문에 자세히 알 수가 없다. 다만, 춘천의 외바퀴수레싸움과 유사한 놀이인 경상북도 안동의 차전놀이와 광주광역시 남구 칠석동의 고싸움놀이를 통해 추정해 볼 수는 있다. 모두 힘으로 밀어붙이면 이기는 방식이다. 따라서 필자는 수레싸움은 ‘밀기형’이었으며, 수레 형태는 밀기에 쉽도록 끝이 납작했던 ‘납작형’이었을 것으로 판단한다. 중국 묘회의 구성 요건과 고려 팔관회에 관한『高麗史』와『高麗史節要』의 기록을 대입시켜 팔관회와 묘회의 연관성을 고찰한 결과 會期, 主祭者, 神靈, 祭場, 祭時, 祭儀, 연행 활동, 경제교류 활동 등에서 모두 공통점이 매우 많아 상호 깊은 연관성이 있음을 실증할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

In this study looked at the Chuncheon One-wheeled Cart Fight, focusing on the origin, type of cart, and fighting method. In addition, this study also looked at the relationship between the Goryeo Palgwanhoe and the Chinese Temple Fair in the areas of ancestral rites, performance, and economic exchange, which are core parts of the Goryeo Palgwanhoe and the Chinese Temple Fair. According to the records of the reign of King Yejong in 『History of Goryeo』 and the contents of｢Goryeo Taesa Jangjeol Singong Chunglyeolbi Byeongseo｣ written by Sin Heum, Sin Sung-gyeom and Kim Rak danced and the performance of running around on horseback at the Goryeo Palgwanhoe. It is presumed that became the prototype of the Chuncheon One-wheeled Cart Fight. In Gyeongsangbuk-do Andong Chajeon Nori and Gwangju Chilseok-dong Gossaum Nori, if you push hard, you win. One-wheeled Cart Fight is the same form of play. Therefore, I believe that the cart fight was a ‘push type’ and that the cart shape was a ‘flat type’ with a flat end. Through the records on the composition requirements of the Chinese Temple Fair and the Palgwanhoe, it was possible to demonstrate that they had many things in common and that there was a deep connection between them.
