국문 초록

이 연구는 몽골인 학습자들의 한국어 음절말 자음군 발음에 대한 분석을 통해 한국어 발음 교육에 새로운 관점을 제시한다. 기존 연구가 주로 모어의 영향에 집중했던 것과 달리, 이 연구는 선택된 자음의 위치, 품사 정보, 어휘 난이도와 같은 언어 내적 요인들이 발음 오류에 미치는 영향을 세심하게 분석한다. 연구 결과, 몽골인 학습자들의 음절말 자음군 발음 오류율은 23.3%로 나타났으며, 특히 자음을 따르는 환경에서 오류율이 높게 나타났다. 이는 자음 탈락 과정이 상당한 도전이 될 수 있음을 시사한다. 숙달도별 분석은 초급자와 중고급자 간의 발음 오류 패턴에서 명확한 차이를 드러내냈는데 이는 초급에서 중급으로의 전환 시기가 발음 교정에 있어 중요한 시점임을 나타낸다. 품사 정보와 어휘 난이도의 영향은 특히 중고급 학습자들에게 두드러졌다. 이는 발음 교육에서 품사별 발음 규칙과 어휘 난이도에 대한 명확한 이해와 교육의 필요성을 강조한다. 이 연구의 결과는 한국어 발음 교육의 발전에 기여하며, 다양한 언어적 배경을 가진 학습자들에게 적용 가능한 교육적 가치를 지닌다.

영문 초록

This study presents a new perspective in Korean pronunciation education through an analysis of syllable-final consonant cluster pronunciation among Mongolian learners. Unlike previous research which focused primarily on the influence of the mother tongue, this study meticulously analyzes the impact of linguistic internal factors such as the position of the selected consonant, part of speech information, and lexical difficulty on pronunciation errors. The study found that the error rate for syllable-final consonant clusters among Mongolian learners is 23.3%, with a notably higher error rate in environments following a consonant. This suggests that the process of consonant elision poses a significant challenge. The analysis of proficiency levels revealed a clear distinction in error patterns between beginners and intermediate-advanced learners, indicating that the transition from beginner to intermediate level is a crucial juncture for pronunciation correction. The influence of part of speech information and lexical difficulty was particularly pronounced among intermediate-advanced learners, underscoring the need for a clear understanding and teaching of part of speech-specific pronunciation rules and lexical difficulty in pronunciation education. The results of this study contribute to the advancement of Korean pronunciation education and hold educational value applicable to learners from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
