영문 초록

1910, Japanese Kanehara Kinjo who worked on a show business inThailand built Gyeongseong Godeung Yeonyegwan at seoul. It wasbooming in white-clad Chosun peoples. Gyeongseong Godeung Yeonyegwanwas different from the other Japanese theater. Audience were Chosunpeoples. That is why Gyeongseong Godeung Yeonyegwan is the importantsubject of Korean cinema history in the Japanese colonial period. Nevertheless,Gyeongseong Godeung Yeonyegwan was not studied carefully until now. Because there is less information about it. On this research paper I foundnew facts out about Gyeongseong Godeung Yeonyegwan. The important contents are as follows. First, Gyeongseong GodeungYeonyegwan owner was Kanehara Kinjo who ran the Geumwon store. Films were distributed by Watanabe Tomoyori of K-Diamond company. Second is film distribution of Gyeongseong Godeung Yeonyegwan. Ifount out K-Diamond company distributed film to Gyeongseong GodeungYeonyegwan. It was not Hukusaki Entertainment what was mentioned byLee Koo-Young. Third, Gyeongseong Godeung Yeonyegwan producedsome actualité films such as at 1911, and showed thosefilms. This moves up the beginning of film production in Korea as early1910. Fourth, I explained the reasons why Gyeongseong GodeungYeonyegwan dropped out of a race. These facts about Gyeongseong Godeung Yeonyegwan fills a vacuumin Korean cinema history in the Japanese colonial period. And these facts raise the necessity of borderless studies about the early Korean cinemahistory which coexisted with Thailand, Japan, and Western film.
