국문 초록

2010년대 대표적인 한국장르영화들은 가족에 대한 ‘문화적 기억’의 공간인‘집(house/home)’을 통해 ‘감정’의 ‘영화적 지도그리기’를 보여주는 경향이 있다. 멜로드라마 장르영화인 <건축학개론>(2012), 스릴러 장르영화인 <숨바꼭질>(2013), 판타지 장르영화인 <신과 함께-죄와 벌/인과 연>(2017/2018), 혼종 장르영화인<기생충>(2019)이 그 대표적인 예들이 될 것이다. 본 연구는 2010년대 장르영화에서 나타나는 문화적 기억을 빈 공간과 영화적 지도그리기를 통해서 고찰한다. 연구 대상은 2010년대 멜로드라마 장르영화인 <건축학개론>(이용주 감독, 2012) 의 집에 대한 (빈)공간이며, 연구방법론은 <건축학개론>에 나타난 ‘감정’의 ‘영화적 지도그리기’를 통해 고찰한다. ‘집’은 인물의 거주 장소이며 그/그녀의 정체성을 구성하는 가정이다. 그리고 인물은 이 상징적 장소를 통해 자신의 정체성을인지하게 되고 나아가 계층으로 인한 다양한 감정구조를 가지게 된다. <건축학개론>에서 영화적 지도그리기의 대상 공간은 서울과 제주도의 ‘(빈)집’이다. 영화에서 빈 공간은 주된 서사 이외의 잠재적인 서사를 상정하여 극 중 인물이 인지하지 못하고 상실했던 것을 암시적으로 드러나게 한다. 본고의 목적은 ‘(빈)집’과영화적 지도그리기를 통해 포착한 문화적 기억의 흔적, 즉 인물이 과거에 상실한것을 현재에 정면으로 대면하는 변화의 단초들을 고찰하는 것이다. 한 개인의 사적인 지도그리기인 ‘부드러운 장소-보기’는 특히 도시의 ‘빈 공간’을 통해 과거의망각된 수많은 가족들의 존재 자체를 암시적으로 재인식하게 만들고 다시 대상화함으로써 그것과 현재의 기억을 구축하는 과정이다.

영문 초록

The representative Korean genre films in the 2010s tend to show ‘cinematic cartography’ of ‘emotion’ through ‘house/home’, which is a space of ‘cultural memory’ pertinent to the family. It can be illustrated by the following films: The melodrama genre, Architecture 101 (Director Yong-Joo LEE, 2012), The thriller Genre, Hide and Seek (2013), The Fantasy Genre, Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days (2018), Hybrid genre, Parasite (2019). This study explores ‘cultural memory’ in especially a melodrama genre film among the 2010th genre films through ‘empty spaces’ and ‘cinematic cartography’. The object of the study is the (empty) space in melodrama genre film, Architecture 101. ‘House’ in the movie is the place where the character lives and constitutes his/her identity. And through this symbolic place, the person becomes aware of his identity and further has a variety of emotional structures by class. And the research methodology is examined through cinematic chartography of emotions shown in Architecture 101. The more specific object of study is focusing on the ‘(empty) space’ for ‘house/home’ in Seoul and Jeju Island throughout cinematic cartography of emotion. The purpose of this paper is to examine the traces of cultural memory captured through the empty space and cinematic cartography. which is the steps of the change that face one’s own something lost in the past. The empty space in Architecture 101 suggests potential narratives other than the main narrative in a implicative way, suggesting that the character haven't recognized and lost cultural memory such as memories of life of his or her previous generations.
