자폐성장애 학생의 긍정적 행동지원에 기반한 미술활동 선택행동과 자해행동 간의 기능 분석

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 자폐성장애 학생의 긍정적 행동지원에 기반한 미술활동 선택행동과 자해행동 간에 어떠한 관계가 있는지를 알아보았다. 이 연구의 대상은 소리를 지르면서 손등을 깨무는 자해행동 때문에 일반고등학교 통합학급에서 지속적인 수업을 받기 어려운 만 18세의 자폐성장애 남학생 1명이다. 연구방법으로는 반전설계를 사용하였으며, 총 25회기동안 매 회기에 발생된 미술활동 선택행동과 자해행동의 횟수를 측정하고, 중재동안 상황관찰(Touchette et al., 1985)을 사용하여 그 기능을 분석하였다. 그 결과 긍정적 행동지원에 기반한 미술활동 선택행동은 첫째, 자폐성장애 학생의 손을 물어뜯는 자해행동을 감소시켰으며, 둘째, 그들이 선호하는 미술 재료와 주제는 변화하고 미술활동 선택에 있어 언어적 지시보다 비언어적 지시를 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구의 결과는 긍정적 행동지원으로서 자폐성장애 학생의 미술활동 선택 계획 시 효과적인 환경과 방법 제시에 관한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the functional relationship between art-activity choice behavior based on positive behavior support and self-injury of autistic student. The subject of this research was an autistic male student (18.5 years) who belonged to an integrated class consisting of 40 general education students. Activity choice behavior and self-injury were evaluated using A-B-A-B design for 25sessions. The functional analysis was also conducted by using a situation observation(Touchette et al., 1985). The results were as follows; First art-activity choice behavior had positive effects on reducing self-injury of autistic student such as biting the back of his hand. Second, it was revealed that participant's preference for material and subjects of his art work were changed, he preferred nonverbal presentation to verbal presentation in a choice situation. The results indicated that PBS (positive behavior support) intervention model would be used as the basic evidence of what the best environment should be like and effective methods would be like for the students with autism when we consider art-activity class.
