한국과 OECD 국가 간 자동차산업의 산업 내 무역 결정요인 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 한국과 OECD국가 간 자동차산업을 대상으로 지난 22년간의 무역데이터를 이용하여 한국과 OECD 회원국 간 자동차산업의 산업내무역의 구조와 산업내무역 결정요인을 실증적으로 분석하는데 있다. 분석 결과, 한국과 OECD 회원국간 산업내무역은 등락은 있지만 전반적으로 증가하고 있는 추세를 보이고 있다. 2011년 기준 산업내무역이 가장 활발한 품목은 786(트레일러 및 세미트레일러)으로 GL지수가 0.98로 나타났으며, 782(화물자동차 및 특수목적차량)이 0.78, 784(부분품 및 부속품)가 0.46, 781(승용자동차 및 기타의 차량)이 0.30 순으로 분석되었다.2011년을 기준으로 GL지수가 가장 높은 국가는 스웨덴(0.77)이며, 독일(0.62), 일본(0.55), 오스트리아(0.52), 폴란드(0.46), 영국(0.46), 프랑스(0.41), 노르웨이(0.41) 순으로 분석되었다. 반면 칠레, 뉴질랜드슬로베니아, 덴마크, 아일랜드, 그리스, 핀란드, 체코공화국, 이스라엘, 스위스, 터키 룩셈부르크, 슬로바키아, 케나다, 오스트레일리아 등도 GL지수가 0.1 이하로 나타나 산업간무역의 특징을 보이고 있음을 알 수 있다. 한국 자동차산업 산업내무역 결정요인을 분석한 결과, 전체 자동차산업을 대상으로 한 GLS 분석결과 한국 자동차산업의 산업내무역은 양국간 평균 GDP 규모가 증가할수록, 양국간 경제규모의 차이가 작을수록, 교역 당사국의 1인당 평균 소득 수준이 높을수록 그리고 교역 당사국간 기술격차가 작을수록 증가하는 것으로 분석되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is using trade data over the past 22 years to do an empirical study on the structure of intra-industry trade in the automotive industry and determinant of intra-industry trade between Korea and the OECD countries. The result is showing fluctuations in intra-industry trade between Korea and the OECD countries, but the overall trend has shown an increase. With the standard of 2011 in intra-industry trade, the most active items are the 786(trailers and semi-trailers) with the GL index showed 0.98, 782(freight cars and special-purpose vehicles) showed 0.78, 784(parts and accessories) showed 0.46 and 781(passenger cars and other vehicles) showed 0.30. The result of the determinant on intra-industry trade in Korea's automobile industry and the GLS analysis basing on entire automotive industry show that intra-industry trade in Korea automotive industry has showed an increase. If the scale of average GDP between the partners on intra-industry trade in Korea's automobile industry is increase more, the difference in the scale of economies between the partners is smaller. Likewise, if the level of average per capita income between the partners is higher, the technology gap between the partners is smaller.
