국문 초록

본 연구는 COVID-19 이전의 대면 수업과 포스트 코로나 이후의 온라인 수업 증가로 인한 미술교육의 디지털화 현황과 시대적 쟁점을 도출하였다. 연구방법은 초·중등 미술교육을 담당하는 교사와 학생, 학부모들을 대상으로 COVID-19 이전과 이후 디지털 기기 활용 수업 내용, 수업 방식 및 교육적 효과에 대한 의견을 설문조사로 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 도출된 쟁점은 첫째, 디지털화된 수업 방식의 변화로 수업에서 다루는 미술의 영역과 내용이 크게 달라지고 있다는 점이다. 둘째, 디지털 기기 조작과 활용의 애로점이 증가하면서 그 한계를 극복하기 위한 다양한 방법적 모색을 하고 있지만, 디지털 전환이 가져오는 사회문화적인 파급력 측면에서 미술교육 역할 변화에 대한 부정적 측면이 동시에 내재되어있다. 셋째, 아날로그와 디지털을 동시에 경험해온 학부모 및 교사들은 ‘디지털화’의 의미를 기술적인 측면만이 아니라 내재적인 변화의 필요성을 인지하고 있었고, 학생들은 디지털 원주민 세대들이므로 ‘디지털 전환’ 과정에서 일어나는 사회문화적 변이를 파악하여 인문학자와 공학자, 미래학자 등 다양한 전문가들의 관점에서 미술교육의 역할이 제고되어야함을 알 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study collected and analyzed data by conducting a survey on the site of the ‘digitalized’ art education including teachers, students, and parents regarding their take on the pros and cons of using digital devices and the educational effects of increased online classes post-COVID-19 compared to face-to-face classes pre-COVID-19. This is task to be diagnosed in the transition period to a new paradigm. The points derived as a result of this analysis is that first, digitized art education is greatly changing the area and content of art due to changes in the teaching method. Second, as the difficulties of operating and using digital devices increase, most teachers are being increasingly aware of the potential advantages of educational effects, and they are seeking various methods and solutions to overcome their limitations. Third, it is not easy to set directions for future direction due to the different perceptions of the effectiveness of art education between teachers, students, and parents as positive and negative aspects. Finally, according to the various social ripple of the meaning of ‘digitalization’, the dilemma of how the purpose and meaning of traditional art education should be changed during the digital transformation period was revealed. Through the results of this study, it can be seen that the possibility of change in the meaning and purpose of art education should be sought through in-depth discussions with various experts in humanities, engineering and futurology.
