영문 초록

This study is one of a series of studies on successful Sextic industry, which began under the urgent situation that agriculture should also be transformed to cope with global market-opening pressure as well as to solve domestic difficulties facing Korean rural areas such as ageing, population drain, and vulnerable marketing structure. Constructing a questionnaire based on evaluation standards proposed by prior research, it intended to lay the groundwork for the development of Sextic industry through employing IPA and seeking the possibility of developing scales capable of performing causality analysis. For the performance of research, this study first constructed 20 questionnaire items regarding five performance indicators, and surveyed agricultural and livestock producers in the areas of Incheon-si and Geyonggi-do for two weeks from April 7, 2014 to April 19, 2014. As for the methods of survey, site visit and self-reporting questionnaires were employed, and a total of 149 effective answers were used for analysis. As for the methods of analysis, reliability was measured using Cronbach's α combined with the descriptive statistical analysis of demographic characteristics; the validity of each variable was evaluated using confirmatory factor analysis; and paired t-test and IPA were used in the analysis. The results of analysis showed that the degrees of producers' perceptions on importance and performance for five variables of the performance indicators were different. Furthermore, from the producers' viewpoint, it was found that successful Sextic industry requires sufficient preparation and strategy as well as participants' initiative and the participation of the aged and women. Also, it was found that it is very important to utilize local resources and idle resources, and that local facility resources need improvement.
