영문 초록

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status of the distribution terminology use by retailer and consumer nationwide and to suggest the practical improvement plan of refinement and standardization for distribution terminology. Research design, data, methodology - Data were collected from overall literature regarding distribution industry, retailer survey and consumers nationwide. The study comprises 3 steps of research and survey on use of distribution terminology in Korea such as literature study, retailer survey by store format, and general consumers nationwide. Results and Implications - Desired and expected effects resulting from the study in question is summarized from 3 perspectives such as literature, retailer, and consumer itself. Future study - Future study will be concentrated on expanding terms which are closely associated with consumers which is followed by analyzing its outcome and arranging suggestions such as improvement plan for the refinement and standardization of distribution terminology in Korea. And further research on different usage among retailers by store formats should be progressed for the purpose of standardizing or purifying the term.
