제주연안에 서식하는 계단꼭지청자고둥(Conus lischkeanus)의 생식주기

국문 초록

이 연구는 제주 서귀포 연안에 서식하는 계단꼭지청자고둥의 번식생태 관찰을 위하여 2018년 3월부터 2018년 11월까지 매월 제주도 서귀포 문섬에서 다이빙 방법으로 채집하여 수행하였다. 계단꼭지청자고둥의 월별 생식세포 발달 단계는 조직학적 방법을 이용하여 조사하였다. 계단꼭지청자고둥을 채집하여 사육수조에서 관찰 한 결과 산란시기에 패각이나 수조 벽면 등 기질에 알집을 부착시키는 특성을 보였으며 부착된 알집의 난들을 분리하여 포란수를 조사하였다. 계단꼭지청자고둥의 생식소 발달단계는 암컷은 성장기(3~5월), 성숙기(5~9월), 산란기(7~10월), 퇴행 및 회복기(9~11월)이며, 수컷은 초기성숙기(3~4월), 성숙기(5~9월), 산란기(6~10월), 퇴행 및 회복기(11월)로 구분할 수 있었다. 계단꼭지청자고둥의 패각에 부착된 알집의 포란수는 알집 1개당 약 1,040~3,800개였다. 월별 생식소 발달 단계를 토대로 계단꼭지청자고둥은 하계산란종으로 주 산란시기는 8~9월이며, 일부 개체에서 산란시기 내에 부분산란이 이루어지는 특징이 관찰되었다.

영문 초록

Reproductive ecology of Conus lischkeanus were investigated by histological observations. Samples were collected monthly from the coaster water of Munseom, Seogwipo, Jeju Island by scuba diving from March to November 2018. The C. lischkeanus showed the characteristic of attached egg capsules during spawning season. The reproductive cycle was classified into the following successive stages: in female, growing stage (March to May), mature stage (May to September), spawning stage (July to October) and degeneration and recovery stage (September to November); and in male, early mature stage (March to April), mature stage (May to September), spawning stage (June to October) and degeneration and recovery stage (November). The number of egg produce/capsule were 1,040~3,800 eggs. Based on monthly gonadal development using the histological methods, the C. lischkeanus was summer breeder (the main spawning season; August to September), and some individuals were observed partial spawning in spawning season.
