범죄자 프로파일링을 위한 존속 살인 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 일반적인 살인에 비하여 국내에서 일어나는 존속 살인에서 나타나는 독특한 양상을 탐구하기 위하여 실시되었다. 더 나아가 존속 살인을 예측하는 모형을 제안하여 범죄의 수사와 예방에 도움을 주기 위한 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 2003년부터 2011년까지 국내의 살인범죄의 데이터를 교차분석과 위계적 로지스틱 회귀분석을 사용하여 존속 살인과 기타 일반 살인에서 나타나는 차이를 탐색하고 이러한 변인들이 존속살인을 어떻게 예측하는지 탐색했다. 본 연구에 따르면 가해자들은 자살관념을 가지고 있는 경우가 더 많았으며 범죄이력을 가지고 있지 않은 비율이 높았다. 존속 살인에서 피해자의 마지막 행동은 수면을 취하는 상태가 가장 많았으며 피해자와 가해자 모두 관련된 장소에서 최초 조우와 살인이 이루어졌다. 과잉살해 행동(overkill)은 존속 살인에서 비교적 많이 나타났으며 일반 살인과 달리 어둠 속에서 범행이 이루어지지 않았다. 위계적 로지스틱 회귀분석에 따라 존속 살인을 예측하는 변인을 탐색한 결과 변인의 범주별로 가해자의 적은 범죄이력, 과잉살해행동, 피해자의 마지막 상태가 수면일 경우 존속 살인을 강하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 마지막으로 존속 살인의 수사와 예방에 있어 중요한 변인들을 밝히고 이에 대한 실질적인 대책을 마련하기 위하여 시사점을 제안했다.

영문 초록

Current study was conducted to explore the distinctive aspexts of parricide in Korea. Furthermore, the aim of study is to help investigate and prevent crimes by present a model which predicts parricide. According to study, most of the parricide offenders were adult males in ther 30s who did not have a jov and committed homicide against adult women in 50s. In addition, the offender were more likely to have suicidal thoutghts, higher percentage of criminal records, and more often committed homicide due to fight and mental illness than general homicide offender. The most victim’s last behavior was sleeping, and the most place that victim and offender met first and victims was murdered is location related both. Overkill was relatively more than general homicide, and unlike general homicide, parricide offenders didn’t commit crime in dark. Result of hierarchical logistic regression present that low level of criminal history, overkill, sleeping on victim’s last behavior variables are strongest variable which predicts parricide. Finnaly, current study suggest implications for investigation and prevention of the parricide.
