국문 초록

그리스도인은 무엇을 통해 그리스도인으로서의 정체성을 설명할 수 있는가? 특히 개혁교회 에 속한 교회는 성도들을 개혁교회의 신앙고백으로 양육하여 그들의 정체성이 그 신앙위에 세워지도록 해야하지 않는가? 본 논문은 개혁주의 전통에 있다고 스스로를 정의하는 교회들이 성도들에게 개혁주의 신앙이무엇인지 가르치는 교육커리큘럼을 가지고 있는지 물으며 종교개혁가들이 되찾은 교리교육의 자리를 마련하고자 한다. 먼저 성경과 교회사를 통해 나타난 신앙교육의 내용과 방법들을 약술하며 세례교육의 중요성을 발견하였고, 평생에 걸친 신앙의 삶을 훈련하는 교육의 필요성을 강조하였다. 또한 개혁교회의 사상적 체계를 세운 칼빈의 교회론에서 교육의 의미를 정리함으로 개혁교회 성도의 정체성 형성을 위한 교리교육 방향을 제시하였다. 칼빈의 하나님의 교육(pedagogia Dei)이론에서 인간교사의 역할과 성령의 역할, 말씀의 가르침과 성례, 삶의 훈련으로서의 권징의 의미를 통해 교리교육의 내용과 목적을 찾을 수 있다. 종교개혁 직후 작성되기 시작한 개혁교회의 신앙교육서들을 가지고 세례를 중심으로 삶의 변화를 이끌어내는 교리교육을 제안했다. 특히 청소년들이 세례 및 입교 전 교육을 통하여 개혁주의 신앙정체성을 형성할 수 있도록 교리교육서로 철저히 교육하고, 교회의 회중 앞에서 자신들의 신앙을 공적으로 고백하게 함으로 한 명 한명 개혁신앙의 담지자들로 세워간다. 이러한 교리교육을 위해 먼저 목회자들과 교사들이 성경과 개혁주의 신앙교육서들을 잘 공부하여 성령충만한 신앙교사로 세워지는 것이 선행되어야 할 것이다. 하나님은 인간교사를 통하여 자기백성들을 교육하기 원하신다.

영문 초록

With what can the Christians form their identity as Christians? Especially, it is strongly necessary for the Christians who belong to the Reformed Churches to establish their identity on the faith, by educating the congregation members through the Confessions of the Reformed Churches. This articles aims to provide the foundation of the Catechesis which was re-discovered by the Reformers of the sixteenth centuries, while asking the meaning of the Reformed Theology to the congregation members who are defining themselves as on the Reformed tradition. At first, this article portrayed the contents and methodologies of the education of the faith which were discovered through the Bible and the Church History. Further, while uncovering the importance of the education for the Baptism, this paper was emphasizing the necessity of the education for the training of the life with the faith throughout the whole lives. In addition, this research suggested the direction of the Catechesis for the formation of the identity of the congregation members in the Churches with the Reformed tradition, while summarizing the definition of the education, with the ecclesiology of John Calvin who established the systematic thoughts of the Reformed Churches. From the theory of “pedagogia Dei” of Calvin, it was possible to find out the contents and goals of the Catechesis through the meaning of the tasks of the human educators and the works of the Holy Spirit, the teaching the Word of God, the Sacraments, and the disciplines as the training of the life. This article proposed the Catechesis which promoted the change of the life with the Baptism and the catechism of the Reformed Churches which began to be written just after the Reformation. For the formation of the Reformed identity of the faith of the youth, it is fervently essential to give a thorough education with the catechism through the Baptism and the education before the confirmation. Furthermore, to confess their own faith in public helps to set up the responsible Christians with the Reformed perspectives. For this Catechesis, most of all, it must take precedence for the pastors and teachers of the Churches to study the Bible and the catechism of the Reformed faith. As a conclusion, it ought to be recognized that God wants to educate His people through the human teachers and educators.
