국문 초록

무형문화재는 전통문화의 요소이자 형태로서 과거부터 유래된 전통에 기초한 유산과 유물이다. 이러한 무형 문화는 구전 혹은 기능을 통해 전수되는 형태를 취한다. 더불어 시간의 흐름을 통해 제작과정 및 기법이 추가되거나 변화되는 등 다양한 특성을 갖고 있으며, 유형문화재와는 또 다른 특징을 지닌다. 그러나 그 기반은 무형문화의 전승에 큰 의미를 두고 있지만, 부분적으로 장인의 개성과 시대적·지역적 특징을 반영하는 경우도 많다. 따라서 무형문화재는 무형 문화의 재현이 최우선으로 기반하고 동시에 어느 정도 장인의 창의성 역시 매우 중요한 요소로 강조되고 있다. 현대사회에 이르러 전통문화를 바탕으로 창의적인 무형문화 주제에 대한 작품 제작의 필요성이 부각 되고 있으며, 그에 따른 전통 공예의 고품격 상품화 접근은 무엇보다 중요하고 절실하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 몽골의 대표 무형문화 산물인 게르와 한국의 백동연죽을 중심으로 전통 문화를 주제로 한 창작 접근을 위해 체계적인 디자인 방법론의 논의를 전개하였으며, 최종적인 작품분석을 통해 상품화의 접근 가능성에 대해 고찰해 보고자 하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 무형문화재의 창의적인 융합 디자인 접근을 통한 문화상품화 접근 가능성 제고를 연구목적에 두었으며, 해당 창작품의 고품격 문화상품화 가능성 접근과 더불어 이의 디자인 융합을 위해 무형문화재 장인간 기능 융합 및 한국적 요소가 배어 있는 디자인의 이입을 무엇보다 중요하게 다루고자 하였다.

영문 초록

Intangible cultural assets are not only critical elements of culture, but also a heritage based on the traditions derived from the community as all traditional forms. These assets are generally handed down directly or orally transmitted. And it is different from tangible cultural assets for its alteration with time. Of course the transmission of intangible cultural assets is most significant, but partly, it often reflects the manufacturer’s individuality, periodic, and regional characteristics. Therefore, artisan’s creativity is likewise emphasized, as well as intangible cultural assets reproduction should be the top priority. Thus, the creative production of intangible cultural asset art works as a representative traditional and cultural heritage of Korea is required, and moreover, high quality commoditization approach to Korean traditional art works is the most critical matter. For that, fusion of intangible asset skills and discussion about systematic design development and methodology through organic relationships with professionals are urgently needed. The purpose of this study is to suggest creative fusion design based on intangible cultural property holders’ skills, and also targeted on high class cultural commoditization capability approach and its design methodology suggestion. This study intends to deal with intangible cultural property artisans’skill fusion, design method, and transfusion of Korean designs mainly.
