위탁운영 직장어린이집 부모교육 프로그램의 현황과 부모의 요구

국문 초록

본 연구는 민간위탁체에 의해 운영 중인 직장어린이집에서 실시하고 있는 부모교육 프로그램의 현황과 요구를 분석하는데 목적을 두고 수행되었다. 이를 위해 서울과 경기에 소재한 5곳의 직장어린이집에 자녀를 보내는 부모 140명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 통계처리하여 빈도와 백분율을 산출하거나 유목화하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 부모교육 프로그램의 현황을 살펴보면, 응답 자의 약 90%에 해당하는 직장어린이집에서 부모교육을 실시하고 있고, 주로 부모의 근무시간을 고려하여 운영되는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 정기 혹은 등하원시 면담이나 가정통신문, 홈페이지 등의 순으로 많이 실시되고, 이에 대한 부모의 참여율도 유사한 순서로 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 부모교육 프로그램의 요구를 살펴본 결과, 부모 들은 수업참관이나 강연회의 형태와 부모-자녀 간 효율적인 의사소통, 어린이집과 가정 간 연계활동 등의 내용을 요구하는 것으로 나타났다. 부모교육 프로그램 참여 증진을 위해 사업장의 이해와 협조나 근무여건을 고려한 계획 및 운영의 순으로 요구하고 있었으며, 직장어린이집의 특성을 고려한 효율적인 부모교육 프로그램 운영을 위한 요구로는 부모-자녀 간 관계형성 지원이나 사업장과의 협력 및 연계활동 등의 순으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study was to investigate the current conditions and parents' needs of parent education in the child-care centers consigned by specialized institutions. The subjects were 101 parents having a child or children at workplace child-care centers in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. The questionnaire was used for this survey and the collected data were analyzed by frequency and percent. The results were as follows. First, parent education program was implemented at about 95% child-care centers and many of these programs were administrated considering parents' working time. And types of parent education program which was operated and parents participated frequently were formal or informal parent meeting, newsletter, on-line site and so on. Second, parents preferred parent education program in a way of observing activities, lectures, etc. And most parents wanted to learn an effective parent-child communication skills. They thought that workers' consideration and cooperation and planning and operating of program based on parents' work conditions are required for encouraging parents' participations. They needed to support parent-child relationship and child-care center-workplace connected activities for more effective parent education program administration in workplace child-care centers.
