영문 초록

The relationship between Korea and Gulf countries has been intensified recently in the field of politics, diplomacy, economics, and culture. Accordingly, there is a growing interest for Korea toward Gulf literature. The aim of this study is to introduce Gulf literature, especially Saudi Arabia, to Korea. The author, Abdullah Mohamed Al-Nasser, is a well-known author in the short stories. He is famous for employing poetic language and creative symbols in his work. In the work, entitled The Snow Siege, he shows his exceptional literary ability. The Snow Siege is composed of the 19 short stories and he touches Arab people’s authentic and traditional identity, generosity, and humanity in his work.
