'경기도교육과정'에 대한 고찰

국문 초록

1991년 '지방교육자치에 관한 법률'이 제정됨에 따라 지방교육자치가 본격적으로 시행되었으며, 2007년부터는 주민들이 교육감을 직접 선출하는 등 지방교육자치제도는 계속 발전하고 있다. 2012년, 경기도교육청에서는 '지방교육자치단체로서는 최초로 논리적 완결성을 갖춘 교육과정'을 표방하면서 도교육청 차원의 교육과정을 고시하였다. 이 교육과정은 경기도교육청 소속 각 학교에서 창의지성 교육이 실현될 수 있도록 하는 법적 근거를 제공하는 등 지방교육자치제도의 정착과 관련하여 긍정적인 의의를 가지고 있다. 또한 경기도교육과정은 각 시ㆍ도 교육청이 처해 있는 실정에 맞는, 그리고 추구하는 철학에 적합한 최초의, 전체적으로 논리적인 교육과정을 추구하고 있다. 하지만 초ㆍ중ㆍ고등학교급 15개 교과군의 교육과정이 한데 묶여, 각 교과의 교육과정이 지나치게 대략적이고 유연하게 제시되어 있어 실제 교수-학습 현장에서의 활용성을 떨어뜨릴 여지가 있다. 또한 내용 체계와 타 교과와의 관계성, 읽기 자료 등 교육과정을 이루고 있는 각 항목들이 유기적으로 연결되는 근거가 부족하고, 제시되고 있는 내용들의 성격이 서로 어긋나고 있어 이에 대한 보완이 필요하다.

영문 초록

As Local Education Autonomy Act was enacted in 1991, the education autonomy has been implemented. The local residents elect superintendent of education from 2007, thus the local education autonomy has been progressing. In 2012 Gyeonggi provincial office of education announced the new curriculum of it which claims to advocate 'the first curriculum which has logical completeness among local education autonomy office'. This curriculum offers legal basis that each school in Gyeonggi provincial office of education can realize creative intellectual education. Like this, it has positive meaning. Also curriculum of Gyeonggi-do pursues the first and generally logical curriculum which fits the actual condition of each provincial education office and is suitable for the pursuing philosophy. But this curriculum proposes 15 subjects for elementary, middle and high school at the same time. Moreover, because this curriculum of each subject is proposed too briefly and flexibly, it could decrease utilization in real teaching-learning. Also grounds to be systematically connected among each detail which forms curriculum like contents, relation among other subjects and reading material etc. is insufficiency and presented contents are dislocated, so that it is needed to compensate the defect.
