특수교사 디지털 역량의 교육 요구 분석: 배경 변인에 따른 분석을 중심으로

국문 초록

이 연구는 특수교사에게 필요한 디지털 역량의 교육 요구를 분석함으로써 향후 특수교사 디지털 역량 강화를 위한 시사점을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 특수교사 디지털 역량 체계를 탐색한 선행연구를 토대로 전국의 현직 특수교사 240명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하여 디지털 역량에 대한 교육 요구와 우선순위를 분석하였다. 특수교사 모두에게 요구되는 최우선순위 디지털 역량은 ‘학습자 디지털 윤리 지원’, ‘디지털 기술 및 자원 사용’, ‘교육과정 분석’, ‘디지털 기반 수업 설계’, ‘학습자 디지털 참여 지원’, ‘학습자 디지털 활용 지원’, ‘디지털 기반 학습자 맞춤형 교수･학습 실행’으로 나타났다. 아울러, 학교급, 특수학교(급), 교직 경력, 디지털 교육 연구회 참여 유무에 따라 교육 요구와 우선순위에 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 특수학급 교사는 ‘학습자 디지털 참여 지원’, 특수학교 교사는 ‘학습자 디지털 활용 지원’ 역량에 대한 요구가 두드러졌다. 이 연구는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 특수교사의 디지털 역량 강화를 위한 종합적인 지원 방안을 제안하였으며, 이는 향후 특수교사 대상 연수 과정 개발 및 지원 체계 구축에 유용한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the educational needs for digital competency among special education teachers and provide implications for enhancing their competencies. Based on a previously developed digital competency framework, an online survey was conducted with 240 in-service special education teachers across the country. The analysis identified the highest priority competencies as supporting students’ digital ethics, using digital tools and resources, analyzing the curriculum, designing digital-based lessons, facilitating student participation in digital environments, supporting students’ use of digital tools, and implementing individualized digital-based instruction. Significant differences in needs and priorities were found based on variables such as school level, type of placement (special class vs. special school), years of teaching experience, and participation in professional learning communities. For example, special class teachers emphasized the need to support student participation in digital environments, whereas special school teachers showed a greater need for supporting practical use of digital tools. Based on these findings, the study proposes comprehensive strategies to strengthen special education teachers’ digital competencies, offering a foundation for future training and support programs.
