국문 초록

본 연구는 합성 파닉스를 적용한 음운·표기 처리 철자 교수가 난독 및 난독 위험군 초등학생의 받침 없는 단어 철자 성취도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 인천광역시 소재 초등학교에 재학 중인 난독 및 난독 위험군 1학년 학생 3명을 대상으로 기초선, 중재, 유지 단계로 구성된 AB설계를 적용하여 철자 교수 효과를 측정하였다. 연구 결과 초등학교 1학년 난독 및 난독 위험군 학생 3명의 받침 없는 단어 철자 성취도가 유의하게 향상되었고, 학생 2명에게 유지 평가를 실시한 결과 그 효과는 유지되었다. 2022 개정 교육과정에 따른 초등학교 1학년 1학기 국어과 지도 시 난독 및 난독 위험군 학생에게 체계적이고 명시적인 합성 파닉스 기반 음운·표기 처리 철자 교수를 제안한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of synthetic phonics-based phonological and orthographic processing spelling instruction on the spelling achievement of words without final consonants in elementary students with dyslexia and at-risk for dyslexia. An AB single-subject design consisting of baseline, intervention, and maintenance phases was used to measure spelling intervention effects for three first-grade students with dyslexia and at-risk for dyslexia attending an elementary school located in Incheon Metropolitan City. The results indicated that the spelling achievement of words without final consonants significantly improved for all three students. Additionally, maintenance assessments conducted for two students demonstrated sustained effects. Based on the findings, this study suggests that systematic and explicit synthetic phonics-based phonological and orthographic processing spelling instruction should be provided to students with dyslexia and at-risk for dyslexia during first-semester Korean language instruction for first graders in alignment with the 2022 Revised National Curriculum.
