비교과 프로그램 CQI와 만족도 조사의 비교 및 그 함의: H대학의 사례

국문 초록

이 연구는 2020년부터 2023년까지 H대학에서 실시한 CQI 보고서를 중심으로 비교과 프로그램의 개선 사항이 실제 운영에 반영되었는지를 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 프로그램 만족도 조사, 재학생 대상 수요자 만족도 조사, CQI 보고서를 통합적으로 분석하였으며, 텍스트 데이터는 LDA 토픽모델링 기법을 활용하고, 정량 데이터는 기술통계를 사용하였다. 분석 결과, 운영자들은 ‘비교과 프로그램 참여 증진’, ‘특강의 양적 질적 고도화’, ‘멘토링, 상담 고도화’, ‘기술적 이슈 해결’, ‘교수학습과정, 평가, 보상의 개선’, ‘상호작용 개선’, ‘접근성 개선’을 논하고 있다. 또한 ‘큰 변경사항 없음’ 역시 하나의 토픽으로서 언급되고 있었다. 비교과 프로그램의 만족도와 성과 역시 전반적으로 향상되었다. 그러나, 대학의 핵심역량과의 체계적인 연계는 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 운영자들의 개선 요청이 부분적으로는 반영되었지만, 일부는 반복적으로 제기되고 있었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 향후 비교과 프로그램이 질적으로 성장하기 위해 핵심 역량 기반 모니터링 및 성과 평가가 이루어져야 함을 강조한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze whether the improvement measures outlined in the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) reports of H University from 2020 to 2023 are effectively implemented in the actual operation of co-curricular programs. To achieve this goal, the study conducts an integrated analysis of program satisfaction surveys, student demand satisfaction surveys, and CQI reports. Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic modeling is applied to text data, and descriptive statistics are used for quantitative data. The analysis demonstrates that extra-curricular program administrators discuss key issues such as “increasing student participation,” “enhancing the quantity and quality of special lectures,” “advancing mentoring and counseling,” “resolving technical issues,” “improving teaching-learning processes, evaluation, and rewards,” “enhancing interaction,” and “improving accessibility.” “No significant changes” also emerges as one of the topics. In addition, satisfaction and performance outcomes of the co-curricular programs show improvements. There is, however, in lack of systematic alignment with the core competencies of H university. Though some of the administrators' improvement requests are newly addressed, some others are raised repeatedly. Based on these findings, this study emphasizes the need for competency-based monitoring and performance evaluation to ensure the qualitative development of future extra-curricular programs.
